Amazing stay at Lava Suites in Santorini! The private terrace with its stunning view was absolutely unforgettable, and the breakfast each morning was excellent. A special thank you to Sophia at reception, who was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Santorini!

Lava Suites is a wonderful experience right on the Caldera with beautiful views right outside the door. Within a minute we were in the heart of shops and restaurants. Sophia at the desk was terrific, patient and very helpful in guiding us in making the most of our short time on the island. We loved walking the Caldera, eating street gyros in town and frozen yogurt. Would have passed up the latter had I not been given a sample and it was amazing! The cave room was fun. Our room was somewhat run down, the bathroom needed attention. The toilet ran and sink faucet was unsteady. But otherwise, a delightful stay. The breakfast was plentiful and brought right to the room. Love the small size of this property.

Great location, spacious room and delicious breakfast. We booked the honeymoon suite which had a fantastic view of the caldera from the balcony. Staff members were awesome. Sophia, Anil and Oia were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only problem we had was with the hot tub. It didn’t work. However Sophia was kind enough to allow us use the hot tub of one of the other rooms which was unoccupied. Overall great experience.

Everything was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The daily breakfast was incredible, the pool was always clean, the courtyard was inviting.

I really enjoy my stay at Lava Suite, the place is really beautiful and at 10 minutes by walk from the city center. The bus station to visit the other villages is very near by walk too, the receptionnists working at the hotel are amazing very kind and helpfull Thanks for everything!

We LOVED our stay at Lava Suites! The view over the Med and volcano was spectacular. The courtyard was comfortable and yet very near shopping and dining options. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and responsive. The lodging was sizable and interesting in how it was built into the hill. For a great Santorini-Fira experience I would recommend Lava Suites as a first choice.

Great central location. Great views from are room and property. Good amenities. The staff was great, Sophia and O’Neill were great hosts and made this stay very comfortable and helpful, very attentive,. They even pre-arranged the transportation from the airport to the hotel and the hotel to the port. Great breakfast served to your room every morning at your chosen time. Definitely will stay here again.

The location was a 10/10. The view a 10/10, the breakfast a 10/10. We were in the Jasmine room. The bed was very, very hard, so we grabbed the squabs off the lounge suite and put themon the bed which was wonderful. Our recommendations would be some art on the walls, perhaps a nice rug or two on the floor with a coffee table to make it look more inviting and cared for. Value for money however was a 9/10. Thankyou.

The arrival was easy as we booked their transport. I don't think we could have found it otherwise. They were easy to reach by WhatsApp msging. The room was a bit stuffy, the chair and bed were not so comfortable. The internet was TERRIBLE. It did not reach the bedroom and was often poor connection in the living room. There was no iron either. Overall it was ok as the staff were very nice and the location was perfect.

My husband and I came for our honeymoon and it was the most amazing experience ever. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was absolutely stunning. Inside was spacious, beautifully designed, and relaxing. The Caldera view and private pool were our top favourites. The staff were super welcoming and available for any questions through WhatsApp. They were warm, attentive, and always available for recommendations to make our stay special. We were served complementary breakfast to the room every morning and the brought it to our balcony to enjoy the view. We could watch the sunrise over the cliffs. The hotel area (lobby pool) and our room were spotless every time. It is central to downtown Fira where it is a short walk to the city centre/shops & restaurants. Everything about Lava Suites exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t have asked for a better Santorini experience. If you’re looking for breathtaking sunsets, comfort & true Greek hospitality, Lava Suites is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to come back!

The best thing about this property is its location—hands down five stars for that alone. You simply cannot beat it. It’s exactly where you want to be in Santorini: just a five-minute walk from the main square of Fira with absolutely stunning views of the Caldera. We could walk everywhere, and honestly, I wouldn’t choose to stay in any other area. That said, the property itself could use some attention. Most of the lights in our room didn’t work (see attached photos). On our very first night, the bed broke because of the slatted frame—the slats shifted, and the entire mattress fell to the ground. The mattress also didn’t seem to fit the frame properly, making it unstable. Even aside from that, the mattress itself was very uncomfortable and left us with backaches after just one night. Since we were staying for three nights, we ended up moving to the two single beds in the other room, but unfortunately, those mattresses were just as uncomfortable. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent—fresh, delicious, and a highlight of our stay. The service was also outstanding, especially thanks to Sophia at reception. She was warm, welcoming, and gave us great, honest advice that truly enhanced our time in Santorini. Sophia, along with the location, made our stay memorable. Overall, this property has incredible potential. With some much-needed TLC and updates to the rooms—particularly the beds—it could easily be a five-star experience.
Only one light working on this fixture and two other lights in the room not working either.

This is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Fira. We booked two rooms: the Honeymoon Suite, which was outstanding, and a Family Cave Suite. My only real criticism is of the Family Cave Suite. While it was comfortable and unique, it did feel quite damp during our stay. I understand that's somewhat inherent to cave-style accommodations, but improved ventilation or air circulation in that room would make a noticeable difference and elevate the overall experience. Sophia at the front desk was great. She was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout both the booking process and our stay, making everything seamless. Breakfast is included and can be delivered to your room or enjoyed in the outdoor seating area near your room or by the pool. There were plenty of options to satisfy everyone in our family, and the portions were generous. You can also choose the type of coffee included with breakfast. My only suggestion would be to provide a little more coffee or offer it in a carafe, especially for guests who enjoy more than one small cup. The hotel's location in Fira is excellent, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. After visiting both Fira and Oia, we found Fira to be a much better fit for our group of six. Oia was beautiful but far more crowded, while Fira offered the perfect balance of atmosphere, convenience, and walkability. I would not hesitate to recommend both this hotel and the Fira area to anyone visiting Santorini.

Perfect location! The breakfast was delivered each morning and it was wonderful! I would definitely stay here again. The view is gorgeous and it is in a very walkable area.

Lava suites was a really good stay, it had an amazing view of Fira and the Caldera. Walkable to the shops and lots of dining options. However, we can hear music in the distance at night and the outdoor pool was cold, so if it was heated, it would be much better. The staff however is very friendly and accommodating, so it’s still a very good hotel.
