I loved the location and installations. Nice house well maintained. The pool was perfect for Santa Marta's heat. The breakfast really good. The only thing I did not like was to have to ring the door and wait until someone opens the door. Sometimes the receptionist is not there and I had to wait for 10 or 15 min under the heat that I'd not nice.

We had an incredible experience at the hotel, all the staff are very kind and helpful and would make the best breakfasts we have had in Colombia. The location is exceptional, highly recommend.

This hotel had the nicest staff I have ever encountered. They greeted us with a cold drink upon arrival and always anticipated our needs. Breakfast was always good and the pool was so refreshing in the warm weather.

Wonderful boutique stay!

Great location, clean, comfortable, great value for money. Lovely pool overlooking the square in central Santa Marta which was great in the midday sun! Staff were excellent and the breakfast was plentiful! We were able to store bags pre and post stay with no problem due to our transfer timings. Would highly recommend and stay here again without a second thought!

I cant say enough good things! I wasnt expecting this hotel to be as amazing as it was. The pool is very good, the spa is excellent, the rooms are great, but most of all the staff are truely excellent people.

If you happen to stay over the weekend then you may hear noise and music from the rooftop clubs nearby late into the night .Bring noise cancelling headphones. It's an ok basic hotel.

Amazing stay in Santa Marta. Placita Viega hotel is located right in the center of town at the parque de los novios. It is a walkable distance away from all of the best restaurants, clubs, and bars. The area is always full of people and very safe. It is also a 5 minute walk from Santa Marta beach.

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, allerdings stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider gar nicht. Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre längst hinter sich, verlangt dafür aber sehr selbstbewusste (und für den Standort unangemessene) Preise. Der angepriesene Pool ist teilweise geschlossen und schmutzig, ein Spa gibt es (derzeit?) gar nicht. Die Umgebung ist sehr laut, dafür ist allerdings die Lage zentral und sicher. Sehr positiv ist das liebevoll zubereitete und reichhaltige Frühstück. Negativ ist dagegen, dass weiterer Service nicht oder nur gegen Wucherpreise angeboten wird (z.B. late check-out um 14:00 Uhr [anstatt um 11:00 Uhr] für sagenhafte 200.000 COP). Das alles ist sehr schade, weil das Hotel ein hohes Potenzial hat und seinen Preis wert wäre, wenn die Versprechungen aus seinen besten Zeiten eingehalten würden.
