This place is a dream! Nestled on top of the mountain in the clouds, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The meals they provide are also fantastic! Nothing bad to say about our stay here, only regret is not staying longer

Incredible Hotel!!

Incredible place! I was bluffed, it would be an error not to take a break in this hotel for 2 nights if you're in Santa Marta région. Food was amazing, location and view astonishing, service was lovely

Beautiful and peaceful place. Staff are wonderful. Great meals offered for an additional fee. You won’t be disappointed it’s truly magical. We paid extra for a bigger private room, I think I would downgrade for a more affordable room next time as the cost of the meals and transport to and from the ecolodge add up. But I would def come back again.

Beautiful and relaxing

My friend and I loved our time at Mundo Nuevo. It was very relaxing and the staff were great. We had a lovely room that was nice and clean and had a great view of across the valley. Getting to the lodge was an experience that may not be for the faint of heart but completely worth it once we arrived. The food was great and the view/atmosphere amazing. Great trails nearby as well to lookouts, coffee plantation or waterfalls. There are no fans or AC, but the evenings did cool a bit - just as an FYI.

Fantastische lodge met dito uitzicht !

Een fantastische lodge met een nog mooier uitzicht. Schone kamer maar van alle gemakken voorzien met uitzien op de jungle. Heerlijk eten (alles vega) en eten en drinken is zeer betaalbaar. Waren nog geen € 100 voor twee keer ontbijt 1 d diner en alle drankjes (met twee personen). Rit er naar toe is een avontuur opzich.

Wat een geweldig verblijf! Het uitzicht en alle faciliteiten waren top. Hier kon je uren naar kijken bij het zwembad. Alles wat mooi en netjes het eten was echt heerlijk en het personeel was zo vriendelijk. Het voelde als een warm bad. De Prive kamer was heel klein en slecht verlicht maar doordat de rest zo goed was was het oké.

Pero el servicio es regular y al parecer los empleados tienen poca capacitación, el menú es muy restringido y costoso, deben cuidar el agua ya que no basta con que sea de fuentes naturales para garantizar su potabilidad. Deben ser más sinceros en su propaganda si quieren que los visitantes solo sean de aventura. Al menos sugerir tener calzado y prendas apropiadas para ambiente de montaña sería lo lógico.

Mundo Nuevo is a very special magical place, which is why I went back for the second time and plan to be back again one day. The view and energy of the place is incredible. I feel at peace being here. All the staff is very friendly and Yessica is very nice and helpful. The food is AMAZING, very good quality vegetarian food. So if you're a meat lover, you may want to bring your own meat and request them to cook it for you (which one of the guys at the hostel did do that, and they cooked it perfectly) The vibe is so nice and this place attracts very kind peaceful people. Loved watching the sunset with everybody at La Punta every evening and the tours nearby I enjoyed very much. The property is so nice it does not feel like a hostel. I could lay in the hammock overlooking the mountains with a cup of amazing fresh tea (that they make with fresh herbs) all day. If you're looking to party, this may not be the place for you. But if you're looking for a place to relax, feel at peace, be one with nature and connect with amazing individuals, this place is for you! Thank you everyone at Mundo Nuevo!

Es un lugar fantástico para conectar con la naturaleza, estando en el medio de las montañas en la sierra van a tener acceso a una de las vistas mas impresionantes de este hermoso lugar. El camino para llegar es realmente áspero, si no tienen un real 4x4 no lo intenten

Wooooh what an amazing place to stay!

This not easy to find the right words to describe the experience of staying at Mundo Nuevo... Amazing, overwhelming, relaxing, enriching etc... Beautiful Hostel / Hotel above Minca Village. Accessible by moto taxi only. The Staff was lovely, vegetarian food absolutely delicious and you have everything to relax, enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature and keep you busy for few days. Highly recommended!!

A great stay!!

Fantastic location, very helpful staff. Wonderfully positioned - some of the best views you’ll ever see and an ideal starting point for the amazing walks in the surrounding area. The whole place has a friendly welcoming vibe and we loved our stay here!

This was our favorite place we stayed at in Colombia. The location is great, the staff extremely friendly, the food is the best vegan food I have ever had. Can not recommend this place strongly enough. If you are staying in the area, this is a great place to stay

ATTENTION: fraud. They dont have a reception, you're supposed to call, we called all day, noone picked up, we couldn't check in and had to find a different accommodation very late at night!! They insist to charge and expedia won"t help you. Expedia themselves have trouble with this client of theirs: cant reach them themselves for days!
