Heaven on Earth

The location is beautiful and the grounds are kept impeccable. You see how much staff they dedicate to keeping the grounds well maintained. A lot of hidden gems to be discovered simply wandering around the sprawling property of Maloka Barlovento/Casa Tayrona Los Naranjos from various pools to a tiki bar that has reggae music and salsa playing. It just an amazing property. Beds are comfortable, rooms are big and well decorated with a classy rustic appearance. Ten minutes from the Tayrona Park El Zaino entrance. Staff is all incredibly kind. Dinner offerings are great. My only critique is breakfast. The coffee was below average. You come to a country like Colombia you expect great coffee to be the standard. Breakfast have now shifted to quantity over quality. We stayed here in April 2021 and the breakfasts were smaller, but the quality was better. Bread was better, fruit was more flavorful. All being said, this is an absolutely gem of a place to stay. Absolutely gorgeous. You won’t want to leave!

Amazing stay at Casa Tayrona

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in one of the bungalows with sea view. The room was very spacious with a massive comfortable bed. It is beautifully decorated and the gorgeous tropical flowers added a special touch. The bathroom is also big and supplied with all the essential toiletries. Perhaps lighting can be improved in the bathroom and we didn't have hot water apart from the first day despite telling reception twice. As it was so hot we didn't mind so much. But overall we loved our room with it's private terrace. Check in was easy and Juan David who was very friendly showed us around the hotel. We were also greated with a welome drink and a snack which again was a lovely touch. The staff was very friendly and always smiling. We felt very welcomed. Food was the best we had in Colombia, always freshly prepared and with lots of choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner including healthy options. We also made use of their spa facilities at the next door hotel (Maloka) and again the massage was really good and great value. Overall this is a fantastic hotel and def the best one we had in Colombia. Highly recommed it.

A slice of paradise!

This place is truly magical. Sunny, gorgeous ocean in the front and steamy, tropical jungle in the back. Everything was just so peaceful and perfect.

My stay was a respite from daily life, situated on a coastal bulff where the Tayrona river meets the sea. The sea was a little rough for normal beach activities but lying in a hamock listening to the waves crash and watching surfers was sooooo relaxing. The property is not super luxe but it is nicely finished and wel maintained and the staff are attentive and friendly. A great opportunity to practice Spanish since not a lot of English is spoken. The food was all freshly prepared to order and not surpringly featured fish and fresh fruits. We stayed in Room 4 in the back. No view but privacy including a dedicated Jacuzzi. I had read about this lodge years ago and finally noticed availability so snatched a week during my recent visit to Colombia. The. highlght was after several trips down to the river, I finally saw a good sized crocodile in the water. when i went at low tide and the ocean waves were not disturbing the river. There iwas a fair amount of on-going construction close by which we heard in the bsck so it wasn't quite as isloated as expected but still a great esacpe to nature.

Perfect place to relax and get away from the city. This place is magical, i loved that my room was in front of the ocean . You can heard the waves of the ocean all night. The staff was very friendly, food was delicious, I loved that i was able to order food and drinks from the hotel's app.

Fantastic kitchen and service we loved it!

A fantastic hotel located directly at the beach. The service and restaurant is fantastic! It is 3km from entrance of tayrona parc and taxi service is offered. The team is extremely friendly and supportive and try to support wherever possible. Surf classes can be booked too via a partner but at really fair prices! We loved the hotel and the food.

Pictures don’t do this place justice. The place, the views, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff… by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The views and the beauty of the place it self is amazing! The food was also so great. And only 5 minutes away from Parque Tayrona… incredible place.
