"We had read reviews before we arrived and the price we paid we weren’t expecting immaculate 5 star. This accommodation was better than expected, yes the rooms are a bit tired and yes the pool area is. The staff are all lovely and it has a very relaxed vibe to it. It’s a good location if you’re not bothered about being near the beach. The walk to the town is a bit hilly and about 20 mins but that didn’t bother us. We had such a lovely holiday and for what we paid we thought it was excellent value for money. We didn’t use the spa but the gym was good. Small but decent. We would definitely recommend this resort."

"We had a family suite for 4 people which was very spacious and had a good size kitchen. Room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was always good and the location was perfect. It was a 2 min walk to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants near by with good food choices."

"My phenomenal first evening in Ferragudo. As I stood on the Panorama Bar terrace at Hotel Casabela, the view spans from the open Atlantic coast right up to the rolling peaks of the Serra de Monchique. The Atlantic breeze tangled in my hair, a cold drink in my hand, I fell in love with the Algarve. The Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms and environment was impeccably clean. The buffet break fast was delicious and in bounty. I wish they could have some tea and coffee in the rooms. Great proximity to the beach, restaurants and other towns. I enjoyed my stay and l will be back. Thanks to all the staff for their hospitality. Regards Sylvie Thomas From Switzerland"

"The pool was beautiful; so refreshing. It was lovely not to have to rush to get a shaded sunbed for our granddaughter - there were always plenty of beds and umbrellas available around the pool. Unfortunately, to get from the reception area to our rooms we had to negotiate spiral staircase made of stone. Having to transport a pushchair and carry a baby up and down these stairs was very dangerous and unreasonable. We were very surprised that there was no lift available. We had the same issue when we went to the pool or beach - another spiral staircase and no lift. The quality of food was good and the prices were similar to those in the resort."
