Please note this review is for Grandma's Home Sangkhlaburi & not Baan Khun Yai Sangkhlaburi the host is nice but the rooms are in a pathetic state. double room for Lee Boon Teck & wife was just mattress on the floor without even a bed frame. refer attached photos. they were horrified & had to find alternative lodging at Proud Supreme Resort. myself, Gan CHOI GEOK stayed back in the single room even though the room condition was quite dismal too. hopefully, you can refund Lee Boon Teck's room. Thank you.

桑卡布里的目的地是夢橋, 住處只距離夢橋10分鐘步程內, 而步向夢橋的路, 不是大部份人會行經的路, 可睇到另一角度的夢橋, 晨早去睇日出, 霧鎖夢橋, 供僧都非常合適. 桑卡布里奶奶之家酒店是真正的泰國家庭homestay類, 可體驗泰式住所的真正情況, 設備上自然不能同酒店比較, 背包客非常合適. 女主人非常好人, 在住宿的隔鄰有經營小餐店, 有比較在地的食品供應, 女主人可以英語溝通, 可為你的行程或附近景點提供意見. 晚上非常寧靜, 由於光害小, 晚上步行回住處, 基本上滿天星星, 值得一住. My main objective to sangka is Mon bridge. From hotel to Mon bridge, approx. 10 minutes walk distance. And the way you walked to Mon bridge, properly not other visitors will walk through, so you can enjoy a diff. angle to view the Mon bridge. As it 's near Mon bridge, it 's great to watch the sun rise and foggy view around Mon bridge, of course you can go join the offer the food to monks at morning time. Let 's talk back to accommodation, it 's a real Thai home stay style. No doubt you can't compare it to hotels, but absolutely you can act like a local when you stay here. The hostress is a very kind and nice person, now she owns a little food shop next to hotel and offer local food dishes for visitors. Very important she can communicate in english and can give you any suggestions on where you wanna go nearby. One Extra credits, as the place near is low light pollution, if you walk back to hotel at night. please look up and see the sky with many many stars right up your head.

Authentic homestay

We stayed at grandmas for one week while volunteering at the dog sanctuary in town and we are very happy we chose to stay there. Grandma is very kind, inviting, and lovely to talk to. Her daughter is a ball of joy and very intelligent. The breakfast is top notch! We had fried rice and also some special Burmese cuisine. The bedroom and bathroom are very basic and not for picky people. (Basic mattress, squat toilet, cold shower, concrete floors). But you should stay here for the experience, and the comfort of feeling like you are at your grandmas home! If we ever come back to sangkhlaburi, we will surely be staying with Grandma

ป้าเจ้าของน่ารักมาก แนะนำสิ่งต่างๆมากมาย อบอุ่นเหมือนมาบ้านญาติ ห้องพักถูกมาก แถมมีอาหารเช้า ข้าวต้มอะไรสักอย่าง(อาหารพื้นเมือง) กับแพนเค๊กมีใส้ (เรียกไม่ถูก) อร่อยมาก ยัง งง อยู่ว่าป้าแกจะได้อะไรไหมเพราะห้องพักถูกมาก 555 ถึงไม่มีแอร์ แต่อากาศหนาวมาก ถ้ามีโอกาสไปที่นั่น จะพักบ้านป้าอีกแน่นอน ที่จอดรถก็มี แนะนำเลยครับ ใครที่ไม่ติดหรู เน้นถูกแบบสบายๆ ให้อารมณ์เหมือนไปพักบ้านญาติ คือโอเคมากๆครับ 10 เต็ม 10 ไปเลยครับ
