"We are returning to this stunning hotel for the 3rd time and love it here. Great service from staff they were able to give us a double room after we booked twin room available via hotels.com which was great. The food is amazing, fish and chips is a definite go to, and 2nd night we had a 3 course meal closer to fine dining with famtastic quality. "I was staying for one night and generally I can’t fault the hotel for its friendly staff, good food and the comfy bed. However I was in a single room, my choice, but the bathroom was far too small. Not sure what the other rooms are size wise, but don’t choose a single room. The TV on the wall was bigger!"

"Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay."

"The room was clean and looked as if it had been recently renovated, comfy bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very nice. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The hotel is currently undergoing much needed external renovation works. The stair carpet badly needs renewed."

"We were visiting the White Scar caves and The Wheatsheaf was an excellent choice for an overnight stay. The room ( Snow Fall) was a good size, simply decorated but had everything you needed for a short stay, in particular a decent tea tray.
