San Luis Potosí is a bustling and vibrant city with a UNESCO-listed historic center full of bright colonial architecture. San Luis Potosí takes its name from King Louis IX of France. The city lies in the southwestern part of its namesake state in central Mexico. It is in an elevated area of undulating hills just north of the Gogorrón National Park.
