Classic, rustic hotel located conveniently in San Juan. Accomodations were minimal but you get what you pay for. Pillows were bricks, TV didn't work but it was a place to wash and rest. AC worked and staff was supportive.

Wonderful staff, clean, comfy beds, gorgeous garden rooftop. AC, walkable to all shops restaurants, beaches. 24hr large grocery 1 block. A water main in the next street blew when we were there which affected hot water-nothing hotels could do. Our stay was very comfortable and beat warm, friendly customer service!

The owner and staff are good. The hotel is abit outdated but a good bargain. A few blocks to the beach and next door to a grocery. Visit the birds an friendly cay on the terrace.

Exceptional Hospitality at Hotel Iberia I had an amazing experience at Hotel Iberia! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. A special shoutout to Cristobal, who went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home. His warmth, professionalism, and dedication to guest satisfaction truly set this hotel apart. Whether it was offering great local recommendations or simply checking in to make sure everything was going well, Cristobal made my stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place with outstanding service and a personal touch, Hotel Iberia is the place to be. I can’t recommend it enough! I will definitely be returning.

Iberia Hotel Beware

Rating this hotel a "1" is a stretch. The only redeeming value is the location which is one block from the Hilton Doubletree and across the street from a supermarket that has a great deli and coffee service and a short walk to the beach. Otherwise, you should consider the following when booking this hotel: No hot water (depending upon time of day and occupancy consumption), no functional TV, no elevator, no telephone in room, squeeky beds. and Noisy!. I asked the owner for some consideration (restitution) for the lacking amenities but his response was that he "couldn't". His defense was all of the political hardships he has endured since purchasing the 200 year old property 15 years ago. He is not willing to invest in his hotel; plain and simple. Don't be fooled by the attractive picture of the outdoor garden. We have been in the travel business for 50 years and this hotel does not even merit more than $35.00 per night! We paid $190.

We arrived during a power brown out in the area which meant there was no power in the hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was as helpful as he could be despite the circumstances. The room was simple, but clean and the AC was more than adequate. Although I would suggest the owners invest in new mattresses and pillows. Ours were not comfortable. That said, the location of the hotel in a lively neighborhood near the beach and great restaurants, along with it's charming roof top terrace, makes it a great choice for a pre or post cruise stop off.
