"Really lovely staff and location"

"Our first room was small and facing the inside of the ran down mall. They put a giant poster of the Machu Pichu to cover it. They were nice enough to move us to another better room. The location is also not a good neighborhood, though it is close enough the nice part of the old town. "

" The hotel is very elegant. The staff is very helpful. I needed ice a few times. They also were kind enough because they had room to let us come in a couple of hours early when we were dropped off. Breakfast was above average (order the pancakes ) and we had a good time nicely located."

"This is excellent small hotel near city center. Just no negatives at all. We stayed three nights and wished we could stay more. Restaurant and bar is on the roof. Cool at night but gas heaters make it comfortable. Good views in the morning at breakfast. Food is good, nice selection and staff are attentive. We take this opportunity to single out Nikole (sp?) at reception for helping us with a variety of questions and making us feel welcome. Good job Nikole !"

"The room was dirty, and had a bad smell. The breakfast was terrible not at all how it appears in the photographs. The location is far from everything. When I checked in they tried to charge a 28% tax wasn’t stated anywhere on the reservation. They said every hotel does this and the percent fluctuates depending on what they want to charge. I called Expedia and they made it right. Better places to stay in Arequipa. "
