Wow, just wow! Staying at the Gelsberg am Alm hotel is a great experience! If you only plan to visit Salzburg once in a lifetime, you cannot be wrong by staying here. It's located 15 min driving from the Salzburg centre, and what an awesome panoramic view of Salzburg and the majestic mountains you get by staying here! The room was spatious and clean, with access to the balcony. The location in the forest ensures you get peace and quiet. Everything perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. And it's the little touches that make the difference. Friendly, helpful reception staff attentive to the needs. Mobility ticket included in the room rate, that covers Salzburg public transportation, and makes it so easy to access the city with the available bus. A nicely decorated spa area with Finnish, humid and infrared saunas which can be enjoyed for a completely relaxing stay. breakfast was great with a variety of choices for every taste. Definitely a perfect stay experience!

Wonderful and cozy hotel in the mountain and very close to Salzburg city center. Staffs were very friendly and polite. Bedroom was clean and super comfy, when we arrived there was a kind welcome letter and a small chocolate cake, so thoughtful! The bathroom had heated floor, good amenities and nice shower. We borrowed walking sticks for hiking from the hotel and it was an awesome activity nearby. They also had sauna, bowling and board games at the lobby that we didn't use but I think it was a nice touch. Very recommended.

We loved the property. It was beautiful and the staff was amazing. The only downside was we were there during a really hot heat wave and the room had no AC which is fine, but the suite did not have any screens on any windows or doors therefore when we opened our windows at night to stay cool during this heat wave, we were eating alive by mosquitoes. Our entire family had mosquito bites all over us and we barely slept the three nights we were there. We were shocked that for the suite of this beautiful hotel there were no screens on any windows. Besides this issue with the room, we loved everything else about the hotel. The pool was nice. Staff was great restaurant was amazing. The management should really look into investing in screens for the three windows in the suite

This property is absolutely amazing. Beautiful location. Helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast selection of hot and cold options. The views towards Salzburg are fantastic. The rooms are spacious and provide you with nice little touches like two free full size water bottles upon checking in. All in all we would recommend this property as it is close to Salzburg yet gives you a nice break from the tourist crowds.

Prettily situated on a hill outside Salzburg with lovely views. Nice room..but not as comfortable as some we have been to recently. Quite expensive given breakfast wasn’t included. Very good restaurant for evening meal.

Not very welcoming upon check in. No a/c and not able to open the window due to mosquitos. We had a plug-in mosquito repellent right on our nightstand! Amenities were slim .... no washcloths, shampoo & conditioner, bottle of water. No electrical outlet in the bathroom. Shower was very small, especially for my husband. Door lock posed a fire hazard. You had to have the key in the lock while inside the room otherwise you couldn’t lock the door. If my husband left the room he either locked me in or left the key. At one point he left me the key, I locked the door. I was in the shower when he returned and he had to stand in the hallway until I was done because I didn’t hear him knock. But even if I had heard him knock I would have had to jump out of the shower to let him in. We needed an iron so we called down to the desk. No one answered, so we had to walk down only to be told we would have to use their iron in their laundry room. Not sure why we couldn’t get it delivered to our room. We paid for a two night stay, but left after the first night.

Jättefint läge och mysigt hotell med fantastisk utsikt. Fint rum och bra med pool. God frukost! Var väldigt varmt på rummet, så det hade varit bra med tillgång till fläkt då det inte fanns AC på rummet.
