Great location for walking or taking public transport. Big aged in many parts, and in need of a facelift. Even though Salzburg is expensive, especially in December, this wasn't great value for the amount we paid. However, no complaints about the room, public rooms small but homely, and helpful reception staff.

Absolutely Lovely 💕
From start to finish, it was an absolutely lovely stay. The reception was friendly and welcoming. The coffee and tea room was set up so nice- one could sit there and play cards all day if there wasn’t so much to see in Salzburg! There is also a bar and sitting room with a record player and great selection of records- such ambiance! And the fact that is an honor bar set the tone for the hotel. I have only stayed in one other hotel that had that and I love the trust and faith it shows in the guests and in humanity.:) Our room was quiet with comfortable beds and big windows. It was a nice 15 minute walk through “New Town” to the main square of Old Town. I would stay here again and again and again. Thank you for such a wonderful visit !

Perfect location, 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minute walk from the gardens. Stayed here one night as a solo, female traveler and felt safe. Clean room and nice bathroom.

I would not normally leave a review for a 1 night stay. However my experience here was not good. On returning to the hotel in the early evening I genuinely thought the entrance door was locked after trying to enter. So I used the key as mentioned at check-in. This lead to whoever was on the desk shouting/berating me - in front of many other guests - because of me using the key. His tone was very inappropriate. You are paying the hotel you don’t expect to get this treatment- this person is in the wrong business if this is how guests are spoken to. It was perhaps fair for him to say something but the manner was totally unacceptable. Otherwise the single room was pretty basic but with a nice bathroom tv/safe - however no kettle or fridge. The hotel overall is pleasant and in an ideal location for both the main station and sightseeing. However now personally I wish I had chosen somewhere else to stay.

The hotel is in a good location with shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and the common areas were very cool with a lounge, a bar and a garden. Parking is offsite but fairly close and the hotel gives a discount card to use.
