Gorgeous hotel with the friendliest staff who are very helpful and accommodating. Built in music/speakers in the bathroom was cool, bed very cozy, a little too much furniture stuffed into the room so had to move around to accommodate our luggage, but overall a lovely place to stay over Christmas 🎄excellent location, restaurant on site was superb as was the breakfast each morning.

The service was excellent! From front desk, bell hops, room service attendants and even the person who oversees the breakfast hours are all incredibly superb. The room was clean and well thought out. The only thing I can think of is you may need to request a roll away if you have a party of three and staying in the junior suite. I mistakenly thought there was a pull out sofa but the bed was big enough for us family of 3. We also had our breakfast included during our stay and it was delish! The hotel is close to everything. I was sad to leave because we were treated so kindly and they really went above and beyond. Thank you Hotel GH team for making us feel so welcome!! A across the board.

The hotel is a small property that is very uderstated and elegant. It is very Austrian and the staff bends over backwards to accommodate you. We were quite happy to stay there and will certainly return.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salzburg

I have stayed at the Goldener Hirsch for the past 30 years The hotel and its staff never fail. Charming and comfortable, it is located in the midst of an active tourist area but absolutely quiet inside and completely safe outside. The staff listen carefully and exceed every request. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salzburg.

We did have some bath issues but they were all fixed immediately. The room was furnished with period furniture. But the bath was state of the art. . Lots of wood and Austrian red marble in the room.

Absolutely exceptional stay at the Goldener Hirsch. Our room was beautiful, we received a complimentary upgrade and fresh fruit bowl, there was turn down service each night with chocolates and bottled water. The linens were divine. Every possible thoughtful touch was attended to within the room and the service provided. I think it spoiled us for every other hotel we will ever stay in!
