The resort is an exceptional place to stay both from a design perspective and outdoor retreat. I would highly recommend this place, especially for a couples getaway.
Me and my girl friends loved staying at Lighteater Cove. The owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. We loved how well maintained and beautiful the property was. The breakfast was amazing as well! Will definitely be back!
Our visit was magical, peaceful, what a wonderful place. The property is stunning and the staff was welcoming and attentive. We enjoyed a wonderful tour of the farm on the property. There's incredible attention to detail everywhere you look - in the architecture and the gardens. Luxurious, romantic, great venue for a special occasion, yoga retreat. Well worth a visit.
Incredible property, architecture and landscaping. The staff were very timid and solemn. We expected the sauna and hot tub to be included in the room rate. The yoga/sound bath room is spectacular but no classes were offered during our stay.
During the few days I spent here, I sighed from the bottom of my heart every day: How lucky I am to choose here to stay! What a great place this is! I call my family every day and tell them they must come here for their vacation. The entire resort a perfect work of art. All the details are exciting! I like her warm and meticulous checkin and unique checkout. If you want to experience it, book now! You will be very satisfied.
It’s a stunning property with comfortable beds and gorgeous view. Breakfast is tasty and the chef is a nice guy.
Remind yourself this is a BnB and not a hotel. For the price you might be expecting some details that don’t exist. It’s a communal space including a fridge and dining area.
Hot tub and pool are extra charge for 90 minutes of usage. A shame considering the price of the room. Not sure this is because the staff need to be around to supervise? Expense of heating it? Staffing?
I would suggest allowing a booking of one hot tub session per room or at least pair it with a spa treatment to entice guests to spend more? It’s odd that the pool and hot tub sit unused.
Also suggest an option to heat up food, there are no nearby restaurants.
Keep yourself busy with a hike up Mount Maxwell and watch out for the deer when driving at night as they are everywhere. Tree House cafe in Ganges for lunch is good too.
A sanctuary is an understatement, this is a hidden gem on Salt Spring Island! The privacy, exclusivity, and the integration with the nature, along with all the landscaping and orchard, is truly impressive. This masterpiece took over 10 years to prepare, incredibly lucky for the owner to call this home. This is the place you’ll want to come to unwind, heal, and rejuvenate. Expect nothing less than perfection! The house dog Maple is also lovely, she’ll greet you and play for fun!
There is only thing I did not agree with: after a massage they wanted to charge extra to use hot tub steam pool and sauna.
The massage was great however!
What a stunning site. Peaceful and restful and just lovely overall. Massage therapist was incredible. Continental breaky was light but delish and just enough. Might suggest some couples games in the shared living room in the lower house like crib boards and extra sets of cards. We found some in the upper building library late on the second day but a crib board would be nice. And maybe a coffee machine in the lower house as well instead of just the upper building. But truly incredible.
We had a restful time at this beautiful property. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We appreciated the low key vibe of the place. It felt more like a retreat than a hotel. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the complimentary coffee throughout the day. Very comfortable beds and linens as well. Thank you Lightwater Cove!
Exceptional property to unwind and relax. Check-in , spa treatments and everything in between were outstanding. The grounds are spectacular. We will definitely be back.
Light Water Cove is one of a kind, beautiful and relaxing oasis. Almost hard to believe a place this beautiful exists. A must see and stay on Salt Spring Island. I would love to come back soon.
This property has one of the most beautiful multi-tiered gardens I have ever seen, with access to a tranquil beach at its base. That alone accounted for the value, and one would be wise to book here before this property established itself as The Place to stay on Saltspring.
This place is drop dead gorgeous. From the architecture to the surrounding landscaping and stunning ocean views (with beach access) this place is nothing short of paradise. And the peaceful quiet made it all the more lovely to enjoy. Comfortable bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud, warm and friendly staff. The most relaxing massage, my skin has never felt better. The hottub over looking the ocean, the gorgeous cedar barrel sauna, everything was clearly well thought out in terms of layout, guest experience, and aesthetics. I have never stayed at a more lovely place. Everything was perfect, and the hospitality was the best I have ever had. We came for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been a more romantic getaway for us. We will be back in a heartbeat!
