"The breakfasts were good, although they weren't included, but it was hard to get an evening meal. The room I stayed in was near the road and boiler/ air conditioning so it was very noisy so I slept very badly. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we didn't get any information from the staff so didn't know if it was safe to return to our rooms. Although geographically it worked well I wouldn't stay there again."

"Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food...

"We were sent to a room that was already occupied !! Only upon entering we encountered a man coming out the shower as surprised as we were It took another 45 minutes to sort a room and at no time did anyone say sorry!"

"My 90 year old Mum and I stayed for one night while visiting family. The staff were all helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to meet our needs. Super comfy beds and spotlessly clean. On return to hotel after a theatre show, found the bar already closing at 22:20 - rather early. Room was basic but clean enough. Bathroom radiator was very tatty, spoiling otherwise clean bathroom."
