"Had a horrible experience. My daughter was playing at a softball tournament and our whole team was staying there. I booked a room for me and my kids and when I went to check-in, I was told that they overbooked and there’s no room for me and my kids. They ended up moving me over to Hampton Inn. So me and my family stayed at a hotel without all of our teammates. When we got to Hampton Inn, we were put into a room that was smaller than what we booked previously. There was five of us and we were put in a room with just a king size bed. I then went to the front desk and asked them to correct it, but the general manager refused to comp a second room when they did not have a room that was big enough for us.
Being away from home as a single mom with four kids this was very inconvenient and very stressful for me. It was also very disappointing for my daughter when she was not able to stay with her team.
Plus, I did not receive an email or a call or anything telling me that my room was overbooked. I did not find out until later in the evening when we were all exhausted from a long day at tournaments. The front desk told me that they did not have my contact information but how did I get this email and to ask me how my stay was????
