Not clean at all. Smelled like smoke everywhere. Homeless everywhere. Fighting couples all night

I got a room for a night, as a solo woman traveler. Check in was easy! The door had a single lock, no extra deadbolt or safety lock. The screen on the window directly by the door was bent and torn. The bed was made well and the main portion of the room was clean. The toilet and bathtub were pretty dirty when I went to use the restroom. The bathroom window had no screen on it, which is also concerning! Overall, I just needed a place to stay and this sufficed. I was able to rest but I do wish I had brought my own cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom.

The front desk was great. In General the place was situated in a neighborhood that is not considered safe. I was not given the internet address only a code which did work.w The following day, I went to the front desk and was given the correct info.
The bedding was not clean or smelled clean. It had black hair and lipstick on two pillowcases.
The rug needed a good vacuuming.
There were no hangers to hang clothes. The desk chair was too low like for a small child. The room itself smelled dusty & had a weird smell like it has never been steamed cleaned. The towels need to be cleaned property. One of my towels had a large black smudge across it like, it was used to clean the room. Overall...the only good thing there was the front desk attendant who was very pleasant. Lastly, the shower head was weak and I could not enjoy my shower.
A pretty solid budget stay. No coffee in the room, but there was a fridge and microwave. Dish TV. The staff was nice. The bed wasn't anything too fancy, but I slept pretty well.
There's a Starbucks that's like a 10-15 walk, a convenience store right around the corner, and this fantastic fish & chips shop down the street.
The Capital City Inn is a good location for the Sacramento Convention Center. However, our room keys only worked for one day at a time. (had to keep going back to the office to get the keys to work for our multiple-day stay). We also had to request more towels, since they don't make up the room daily.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient with shops nearby. However, my experience with the front desk staff wasn’t great.. the person at the desk seemed a bit rude and unapproachable. I think a friendlier attitude toward guests would make a big difference in the overall stay experience.

Excellent location, safe walking distance to the Convention Center. Restaurants in area. All day parking available. Supportive staff.
For the money and location it’s a good buy. Not fancy but good enough for a couple days.

This property is located near downtown. Rooms are ok, a little dirty, t.v. didn't work, no phone in room, you have to go down stairs to the front desk and ask for help. It gets a little noisy at night. Good price compared to other hotel/Motels around the area.

Gets the job done if you have business in the area and need a safe place to sleep. The desk seat is small and not suitable for larger persons; I couldn't imagine getting any work done on it. Otherwise, no complaints.
For good food, an excellent Mexican takeout restaurant is just down the block.
It was for my daughter’s 18th birthday party we had downtown Sacramento. As soon as I walked in the office, a loud conversation was being had and the woman behind the counter didn’t seem pleasant. The elevator to the 2nd floor smelled like pee. The room over all was ok. Fridge didn’t work. The hot water on the sink didn’t work. Shower was ok. Bed wasn’t the greatest.
I checked in and was there for 15 minutes and just left. There wasn't an extra bar lock on the door, no wifi provided, was just handed a slip of paper with my room number and it said 'no pets'. I was traveling for work and it was unacceptable. I did not feel safe at all! The elevator smelled like urine.
