"I had a single room with balcony, was clean and big enough for 1 person. Breakfast was great, buffet style and I managed to get a table next to the window every morning. I was on the 6th floor so the view from my balcony was great."

"Lovely room and overall amenities. I was down working and had to start at 9:30. So to find out breakfast was from 9am was a disappointment. Way too late for someone who might be staying over for work. Expedia show as from 8am which is more sensible. No update about this from the hotel. Staff did their best to get the breakfast out asap which was good. But it didn’t have to be rushed if it was served from a sensible time. I’ve stayed before and always had it from 8am. Chef needs to get up earlier!"

"The bar wasn't open and there was no facilities for breakfast. Even the option of having cereals you could help yourself to and a toaster to make toast would have been good. My room was adequate but the shower cubicle was broken and the shower itself was attached to the wall and could only be used by hand. The bathroom wasn't very clean either. When I told the staff I wasn't happy they weren't interested and didn't bother until I said I was leaving early to offer another room."

"Highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed. Its worth the slight inconvenience of having to park in one of the 3 or 4 nearby car parks which are run by bandits."

"Lovely small hotel perched up top of Rye overlooking fantastic scenery. Staff welcoming and considerate. Breakfast is served to your personal choices, centred on English traditional style, which is very good. No lift, and some pretty steep stairs for us, so will not suit all. Approach is up a side road, reasonable gradient for luggage on wheels. Rooms a little tired, but its a very old building must be remembered. Bed was absolutely fine with clean linen, bathroom well fitted out with nice shower as well as a separate bath. Clean towels and sundries plentiful. Good wi-fi. Definitely recommend if your fit and healthy. Rye is a little gem, great pubs and restaurants."
