"We had a room on top floor which was very comfortable. Good cooked breakfast with buffet continental . Parking at rear of hotel was handy £10 extra. Would use again. Staff great."

"Regular visitor to The View. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast is great. Only downside is the bar food option needs changing. But there are many restaurants etc close by. I book via a third party website, because it’s cheaper than booking directly."

"The room wash clean. The staff were friendly. The room was falling apart. Couldn't close bathroom door. Toilet seat kept slipping off the toilet. Bunkbed needed tightening up as very wobbly. So we moved top mattress to the floor. Swimming pool was lovely. Had shower room afterwards with no hot water at all. Great location. Rooms are probably prone to being trashed. If you are looking for somewhere to just put your head at night, then it is great. Don't expect anything else. "

"Room was spacious clean and very comfortable with great sea views. Comfortable king bed and large bath. Property was charming and very elegant inside and beautifully decorated especially breakfast room. Decent meal first night and some live entertainment with piano. Staff all round really good and friendly and helpful. Would definitely return here for sure. Cheap parking for £2.50 a day through reception aswell and plenty of it around the hotel roads"

"The room we were allocated was nothing like those advertised. The bathroom had crumbling plaster on the walls ,The very bleak room had poor lighting and curtains that would not open properly to see the 'Sea View'. No hairdrier/no ironing equipment as advertised. The restaurant and the bar was not open at all. The staff were courteous and the linen in the room was clean and fresh, but with nothing to stay and enjoy, we left a day early to come home. Eastbourne itself is sad and neglected as highlighted by the state of the pier, so all in all we regretted this booking with Expedia."
