We had this hotel booked as part of a birthday trip to the F1 at Silverstone. We had been looking forward to the trip since Christmas, so our experience left us feeling extremely disappointed. The hotel grounds are stunning and upon arrival we were very impressed with the main building. This is the part of the hotel shown on their photos and is what we had based our stay around. After check-in, we were escorted to a separate building where our room was. This forms the basis of our extremely poor experience. Our room was simply not acceptable for a £230 a night stay. The room (and entire separate building) resembled an extremely rundown travelodge, it was outdated and the decor felt cheap. The main disappointments were the tv which was small and old and the bathroom which was also small and dated with a tiny shower head that was unable to be taken down to wash yourself. We had also booked the spa and there were 2 guests on the booking, yet there was only one robe. The real nail in the coffin was the room had no air conditioning, only a small desk fan. There was a noticeable difference in temperature when you walked down the corridor to our room so I’m not sure whether there was an issue in the building, but our room was absolutely boiling. The fan didn’t even begin to cool the room down to an appropriate temperature. As a result, we had a terrible night sleep. I’m heavily pregnant and it was so uncomfortable that we unfortunately had to leave a day early and cut our trip short

The staff were great..property is stunning. Spa facilities great. Food very good. The room we stopped in was a bit tired, I imagine it's one of the older ones..mattress was like sleeping on a Bouncy castle and the TV was very old to the point there was no clarity in the sound so it was just loud.

All Staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and professional. They instill a 5* service feel. Facilities at the spa were great, nice and quiet (went in a Monday!) room was lovely, perfectly good sized for a standard room. duck feather pillows and a very firm bed. The room was well equipped. The walls could do with a freshen up in the rooms of paint but other than that -I wondered why the hotel didn’t have 5*! Would definitely return.

What a great retreat in the English countryside. The staff here goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Perfect place for a nice getaway. We were also excited to use the Golf Simulator nearby. Our only regret is having to check out. See you next time !

Didn’t use the spa as it was booked up!! Hotel room was far too hot. Reported but nothing done!! Charged nearly £8 service charge for a tea and a coffee absolutely daylight robbery. Don’t bother with this hotel. It’s not worth it.
