"For my entire trip around Guilin, Hong Kong and Beijing, this hotel is truly the best one I stayed at. Yes its a bit more than what you can get locally, but what a delight this hotel experience was. The location being right by the river for an enjoyable day or evening walk to the exceptional - i say exceptional - service from the front desk. The rooms are nice and clean. My girlfriend wanted to try a different hotel every night and so i was quite sad that we couldn't stay here the rest of the trip, it was THAT delightful. They have tours available at the front desk, and can rent e-scooters right there. Actually for someone who's travelled extensively, this hotel rates as one of the best i have ever stay in. I usually don't give long reviews, but this one was well worth it. This place is GEM."

"The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and it was a lovely stay. Only negative comment was the sound proofing in the rooms wasn’t great. You could hear the traffic and door banging."

"We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. There are many options in Yangshuo but most of them are on busy roads. Ancient Village is nestled in beautiful gardens that are immaculately maintained. The staff are incredibly helpful recommending and booking activities. Included breakfast is a bonus (not buffet style but a reasonable range of options that are freshly prepared)."

Perfect location to relax after exploring the Li River, West Street, and the amazing countryside. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Yangshuo looking for comfort, luxury, and unforgettable views."

"It’s a very nice boutique hotel. The room is clean, spacious and love the toilet with all the fancy stuff. The staff are friendly with a little English, but it’s not a problem. We can communicate using the google translate App. Location is in a quiet area, needs to take a taxi/Didi to go to a city centre. I highly recommend this hotel."
