When I arrived, i realized the hotel was brand new. It had only been in operation for a month or so. The check-in was easy, the employee was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, ironing board and iron and a place to put your suitcase. The breakfast was better than most hotels. I had a waffle, cheese omelet and sausage. The check-out process was very quick. I would highly recommend this hotel and if I stay in Roanoke again, I will stay at this LaQuinta.

A nice, clean hotel closeby both the interstate and the local university. Brand new property since July 2026. Pros-professional, courteous staff, clean rooms, good continental breakfast, and a very clean property overall. Cons-electricity went out in room the night before check out. Probably because it's a newer property in the area, IMHO. Breakfast should be until 10 am, not 9 am. Other than that, no major problems, and still, one of the better hotels in the area.

The hotel is brand new; beautiful and everything is clean and sparkling. My only complaint is that I booked a regular single king room but was put in a double queen handicap accessible room. The hotel was nowhere near full, so I don't understand this change in room types.

Beautiful! This place hasn’t even had their grand opening! Problems? Room keys wouldn’t open the outer doors and no Wi-Fi! The ice machine was just across the hall and any time someone would use it, it would awaken my dog and she would bark! She only barks to protect me.

When making reservations I was VERY specific that I needed shower with handicap access and 2 queen beds with an adjoining room (or very close) to my brother and his wife that also wanted 2 queen beds (as she just had surgery and needed own bed) and NOT one king. The day before our arrival the Manager called to confirm our reservations and review our room needs. Yet, when we checked in their room was down the hall and had the handicap shower and one king bed, my father and I had the 2 queen beds but NOT the handicap shower (he is 95 and needs a bench in the shower). THerefore my brother and sister-in-law did not like their room and I was not pleased. It was a wase of time twice to go over room needs when they could not be accommodated. When we asked at the front desk they said "Sorry, things had changed and they could not accommodate any changes." Also, our room was on the first floor, and had the back exit convenient to coming and going, but our room key (which was supposed to open up the exit door) did not work. We talked to the front desk, and they said they would take care of it. Never did. Will not stay with LaQuinta again.
