Awesome vibe, great staff. I stayed in the private room. I do recommend the hostel to solo travelers as the staff makes sure to relay events allowing guests to meet and go out. Daily happy hour free Caipirinhas.

The staff is very friendly, they give free drinks between 6pm to 7pm, there are some bars around not far away, very close to ipanema beach for a walk

Che lagarto was very good stay for the price and the prime location near the beach and 2 party hostels. I had to change rooms but no big deal.. The bed was comfy, the bathrooms were fairly clean but I think they could be cleaner. Erika was really nice and caring volunteer, she made an amazing breakfast buffet for the morning. I only stayed one night but I would recommend this hostel anytime.

We only stayed one night but it was very clean and nice. They had people outside in the lobby and sidewalk area having drinks as a social gathering. I would recommend staying there.

Booked one day off requested change in date was given the hope could be done , was stringed along until the time to cancel became the day to check in could no longer cancel on line ! Only to find out the law in Brazil allows one to cancel within 7 day of booking will dispute charge with my card company ;((

Quarto limpo, equipe de funcionários bem competente e atentos para atender qualquer questão. Café da manhã bom, só penso que poderia ter algum suco natural ou alguma bebiba láctea, além do leite para acompanhar a granola que fica disponível. Um ponto que por vezes pode causar algum tipo de estresse é a abertura da porta dos quartos…a magnetização as vezes não resolve e fica impossível acessar o quarto depois de tentar 10x hahahaha. No mais, não tenho do que reclamar. Tem uma ótima localização, atendeu minhas expectativas e ainda tem rodadas de caipirinha free. Muuuito bom.

Nunca mais volto, paguei até outro lugar só para sair desse lugar, péssimo atendimento, empatia zero do funcionário com tatuagens atrás dos braços, educação zero, mesmo querendo pagar a diferença para passar para outro quarto não quis ajudar, ainda riu da minha cara, me ofendeu, foi mal educado, no dia seguinte eu tinha compromisso e até perde por não ter dormido a noite toda pelo bando de bebados, roncando super alto que tinha no quarto e vomitando, roncando alto, banheiro imundo, quando cheguei nem lençol limpo me deram, eu usei o meu próprio jogo de lençol, a minha cama estava com 2 lençóis sujos tudo embolado e jogado quando cheguei, e os tirei quando cheguei. A funcionário até riu da minha cara, após eu relatar a situação. Treinamento péssimo desse lugar, zero acolhimento com o hóspede. Já fui em hostels de diversos lugares e diversos países e este foi o pior da minha vida!

Já tinha ficado no hostel em 2022 e voltei porque adorei! Gostei muito desta última estadia. A equipe é sensacional e a localização maravilhosa. É um hostel bem fácil de socializar também e tem uma cozinha com microondas e geladeira, o que é extremamente útil. São três andares e não tem elevador, mas isso não é uma questão pra mim. A única coisa que poderia incomodar outras pessoas é que a pessoa que faz a limpeza dos quartos, no geral passa bem cedo. Nos primeiros dias ela estava passando para limpar às 9h da manhã, o que é um pouco incômodo para os viajantes que viveram uma noite longa no Rio de Janeiro hahaha mas no domingo eu saí de lá às 11 e ela ainda não tinha aparecido, então não sei se é o padrão (sugiro que não seja haha). No mais, quando voltar ao Rio, com certeza ficarei lá novamente! 10/10

Péssima experiência

Paguei o café da manhã na hora da reserva e não me deixaram comer 7h30, pois começava 8h, sendo que a mesa já estava servida. Disseram que me serveriam um prato para não estragar a mesa, fiquei esperando até 7h50 e não me trouxeram. Tinha que estar às 8h no trabalho, então fui embora pois iria me atrasar demais. A estrutura do Hostel não é nada parecida com as fotos. Está super deterriorada, a limpeza não é boa, barulho a noite toda pois fazem festa a noite, o quarto uma bagunça, o banheiro sujo e precário, atendente fumando em cima de você enquanto tu tenta fazer a refeição no espaço minúsculo da recepção onde quase todas as mesas ficam na calçada. Foi uma péssima escolha ter ido para um hostel.

A equipe do hostel é muito gentil e atenciosa, a localização é boa e a cama confortável. Gostei da opção de cadeira grátis na praia que eles oferecem em dois quiosques! Todo dia também há happy hour com caipirinha e socialização da galera. O café da manhã tem um bom custo benefício, com opções de pães, frios e frutas. Há maleiro para guardar a mala gratuitamente antes ou depois do check in. Os pontos a melhorar são da infraestrutura do prédio, pois há vazamentos de água nos corredores.
