"The host was very easy to communicate with. She greeted us when we arrived. She was great. The house is very beautiful inside and out, the view was amazing. It is very clean inside. The only issue is the way to the house is very difficult to get to. We drove up on a hill that had a lot of bumpy roads and a lot of garbage. Keep in mind if you stay here that once you go out, try to do all of your outings because it’s hard to go back and forth to the house."

Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"It was a very nice place. Room was cleaned every day! Kid friendly location and lots of activities for kids and adults everyday. 3 different pools plus a kiddie pool and slides area. Beach was very clean and a short walk from the hotel( accessible). Staff was very friendly. Food was not that great. Almost same or very similar menu every day. Drinks was very good and lots of options."

"The rooms are really nice but the service and food leave much to be desired. The wait staff at the restaurants is great but the front desk and guest services staff were very slow. It took them 5 hours to send us towels. The hotel had no air conditioning for almost 24 hours. It was miserably hot everywhere. All inclusive restaurants usually have average food but this was below average. Lots of restaurant options but the quality of the food was not great."

"We traveled as a family on 8, which included 2 8mth old babies. All 8 of us fell ill during our stay, 1 day after another....1 baby needing to go to the hospital. Staff was good in helping facilitate that. What was disappointing is we were given a bit of a hard time in trying to leave buffet with food to be taken back to the room for the person who was unable to leave their room and had to involve guest services to get "permission" to do this. As for the food, honestly, we were disappointed. We have traveled to Jamaica 3x prior and had much better food experiences and other resorts. Kinda felt like Cuba in the sense there was no real variety with the buffet food. Sure different "themes" nightly but was all the same food just flavored slightly different. We did try the al carte restaurants as well, the best was the Samurai one. Due to this resort having a "green ajenda" no water bottles are provided in the rooms as all. What you are given is 2 glass jugs to fill from various filling stations on your floor...which would be no problem at all...if they worked. With 3 days left to our stay the water filling stations all stopped working on our floor and our other parties floor. When brought to the attention of staff the response was "you'll just have to come up to the bar to refill", which is noy convenient when you need constant water for baby bottles and those sick. We made the best of it, but will not be returning. Beach/entertainment staff amazing tho A++ there"

"Excellent Vibes, but Check Your Photo Prints Early! We recently stayed at the Riu in Montego Bay and had an absolutely wonderful vacation. I would easily give it a 5-star rating if it wasn’t for a frustrating issue on our final morning. The Good: Everything about the resort itself was excellent. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the overall vibes were just amazing. It’s a great place to relax and have a fun, memorable time. The Catch: On our last night, we paid for some last-minute professional pictures. We were assured that the printed photos would be left at the front desk for us when we checked out the next morning. Unfortunately, when we went to check out, the prints were nowhere to be found, and the resort photo shop was closed. We had to leave for the airport without the photos we paid for. Despite the photo mix-up, we loved the resort, the energy, and the staff. We would definitely recommend it."

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"I stayed at Jiao Iberostar for a week to celebrate my sister's birthday during our first trip to Jamaica. The location itself is beautiful .The pools, beach, and variety of activities on the resort kept us entertained throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff, especially some of the female staff members. We experienced rude behavior and felt racially profiled during our stay. It was very noticeable that white guests were treated with more respect, received quicker service, and were given far more attention than we were. What made this even more disappointing is that I have previously stayed at Iberostar in Mexico, where the experience was absolutely breathtaking. The staff there treated us like queens everyone was friendly, kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond. Because of that experience, I expected the same level of hospitality in Jamaica, which is why I chose this resort in the first place. It's truly a shame to feel racially profiled by our own people while trying to enjoy a special family vacation. During checkout, a member of the guest services team asked us to leave a review of the property, and we agreed. She then asked to see my phone so she could show me where to leave the review, but instead she began writing a 5-star review herself. She said, “I want to make sure you review us.” That’s when I told her our stay had not been great at all. That made me question how many of the 5-star reviews were writen by staff"

"The customer services was horrible my room had the worst smell. I had to request another room and had to pay then when I got the new room it smelled so horrible. I would like my money back for the payment of the knew room. That resort will not last if customer services doesn’t change"
