Das Hotel befindet sich in traumhafter Lage mitten in den Bergen an einer Paßstrasse. Das Personal ist gemischt von sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit bis hin zu eher widerwillig. Sehr gute Verständigung in englischer Sprache möglich. Man kann das Hotel durchaus empfehlen, man darf aber nicht die höchsten Ansprüche haben. Preis/Leistung stehen aber in einem angemessenen Verhältnis.

From 1970, and nothing has been reformed since then. We were in the log home, the smell was bad. No wifi in room, only lobby.

Отель в небольшой деревушке в горах

Уютный отель в горах. Из окон открывается отличный вид на горы, номер уютный, чистый. Кровати приятно жесткие. Завтраки неплохие, можно заказать яйца в любой форме приготовления, все остальное в формате буфет. Обратите внимание, что в номере нет чайника и холодильника. В ресторане при отеле можно заказать ужин, готовят отменно. Отель не очень подходит для тех, у кого нет машины, т.к. в ближайшем окружении особых занятий нет, только созерцать горы и гладить кошек ( на территории отеля живут ласковые кот и кошка). От отеля нет пешеходных маршрутов, они все в некотором удалении. Вай-фай только на ресепшен. Из минусов- в нашем номере иногда пахло канализацией.

Hôtel laisse à désirer .

Pas très accueillant par un personnel assez froid . Heureusement que les chats malingres le sont nettement plus . Ma chambre était la dernière du couloir de la dernière maisonnette au bout d'un long dédale de chemins et d'escaliers . Heureusement que les chemins de grandes randonnées ont montré un aperçu de ce qu'il nous attend _ mais pour un Pousada , c'est plutôt mal choisi !Côté restaurant : formulation de menu de grand seigneur , mais sans suite .

Sehr ruhig und beschaulich, für Wanderfreunde super geeignet. Ein großer Garten umgibt das Anwesen und die beiden Wohnhäuser haben eine ruhige Lage. Allerdings ist das Blockhaus sehr, sehr hellhörig.

un cadre magnifique

un hôtel un peu vieillissant qui fait également son charme. Situé dans un cadre magnifique, optez pour la demi pension, les repas sont généreux et très bons, attention aux consommations au bar et à table, elles sont un peu excessives, mais c'est ce qui permet de payer le personnel parlant anglais et français parfaitement et avec humour. Idéal pour les départs de randonnées du col d'Encumeada et pour le retour au calme dans les salons cosy. Chambre dans le bâtiment principal au dessus de la salle de restaurant, aucune perturbation sonore !

Charnant aber abgewohnt.

Super freundliches Personal, die sehr gut auf Wünsche eingehen und einem den Aufenthalt versuchen bestmöglich zu gestalten. Die Zimmer sind sehr abgenutzt und müssten dringend überholt und gründlich gereinigt werden.

Malerisch, abgelegen und trotzdem schnell erreichbar (Funchal 20min). Sehr freundliches Personal, hervorragendes Essen. Für 5€ kann ein Picknick für Wanderungen bestellt werden. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Doppelbett bestand aus 2 Einzelbetten auf Rollen.

Nice hotel in the mountains

The hotel is made entirely of wood - village cottages style, which unfortunately affects the audibility. The neighbors from upper floor roared until midnight and we had to ask them to calm down. The food in the restaurant was nice and not expensive. The car park was not enough for all customers.

Super fredeligt, skøn natur, intet andet end det lille hotel og bare nyde idyllen. Helt fantastisk! første indtryk af personalet var koldt, men de tøede da op undervejs, da vi forsøgte at spørge lidt ind til dem.

Sehr gute ruhige Lage

Von diesem Hotel aus ließen sich sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen, Mitwagen ist hier aber Voraussetzung. Wir unternahmen zahlreiche wunderschöne Levada-Wanderungen von hier aus, die Nordküste ist schnell zu erreichen, die Südküste ganz in der Nähe. Wer nicht Wert auf höchsten Komfort legt und auch ignorieren kann das man einige Gebrauchsspuren an der Einrichtung erkennt, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt und alles war sauber.

Basic but fantastic location

The hotel is basic, but in a fantastic location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds were not as comfy as I'd like and the breakfast could be improved, however dinner was excellent, we ate here every night of our stay. The hotel provides great value for money and is perfect for exploring the mountains.

Fantastic position.

Fantastic position. The hotel itself is dated so not for you if you're looking for luxury. But if all you want is somewhere comfortable to sleep and a beautiful view this is it. The food is good and there is lots of hot water.

Pleasant and reasonably priced.

Reasonably comfortable and basic place to stay, but clean and well priced. Friendly reception and beautiful setting (though you will need a hire car!) We stayed in the chalet style rooms at the rear - it was noisy in the morning when other guests were walking around upstairs.
