Overall we had a nice stay. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, right across from the airport. The hotel itself is a bit dated but they keep it clean and the breakfast in the morning is delicious.

We didn’t stay long at the hotel, as we had just stayed there the night before our early flight, but it was very nice. The breakfast was very good and started early, so we could eat before our 7:20 am flight. Very close to the airport and easy to reach.

We picked the Aurora for our last night in Iceland because of the easy access to the airport. We had an early flight. The airport is an easy walk across the drive to the terminal entrance. Being an airport hotel they have double windows to control the jet noise.

this hotel was clean, the employees were pleasant and helpfull. it is an easy stay with in walking distance of hotel. no way to adjust room temperature, so like all hotels in Iceland, it was too warm for us but it was a very nice hotel.

VERY expensive for a VERY basic room. Breakfast was good as was food in the restaurant but double the price you expect to pay in an airport hotel and you may come close to what we actually paid! The staff were helpful and the hotel is very close to the airport with free parking. The hotel is soundproofed so you don’t hear planes but not internally so you can hear your neighbours. Blackouts blinds on windows do not blackout the light!

This was a great spot to stay for a short layover. The staff was helpful and easy to communicate with before I arrived. It was easy to make arrangements to store my luggage before check in. They added breakfast to my stay as a courtesy. It may not have been the most luxurious hotel but it was clean and quiet. The showers were hot and refreshing after an exhausting day. And the convenience of staying steps away from the airport for an early morning flight is priceless.

The convenience factor is what matters here; 3 min walk to airport; free parking if you want to check in then return car later and head out for the evening to dinner or blue lagoon; room was nice enough with a view of the runway (ask for an even number room). Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable (lumpy, ?old) and no hooks or towel racks at all in the bathroom except for one right beside the toilet (yuck) despite there being lots of free wall space for same! This seems pretty basic.
