"Fantastic grand old property, in an amazing location on the Duoro River, brought to life by the very friendly staff. A private wine tasting was organised for us and was a very enjoyable experience. Elsa was great. It was raining a lot while we were there, so did not get to use the pool. The food menu could be improved. You can get here by train from Porto. Ermida station is just down the road."

"Small family-run hotel located at a small village. Very well maintained. Room was really comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. It is also conveniently located very close to the PR7 hiking trail. Other highlights of the region, such as Ponte Arouca, are within a 45 minutes radius. I waa happy to stay there. Just beware that there is no restaurant in the hotel nor within walking distance, and neither a supermarket nearby."

Wonderful viewing the beauty of Nature we were admiring from the terrace and balcony. The way the colors blend into each other is spectacular; it looks like a painting. We had an unforgettable experience and will absolutely be staying here again."
