"Property was well presented and clean. Only stopped a couple of days but when I needed to know how to turn the shower on, responses were quick and friendly."

"Thank you June and Mark for a lovely stay at Little Beeches. We felt welcomed from the start. The home is tasteful and homely. While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. The kitchen is well stocked with decent cookware and crockery making cooking easy and pleasant. Having use of a washer and dryer was a huge help. The entire property was spotless. "Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor...

"The owners are not good people and just openly rude. They bait you into arguing about politics. They advise a fireplace but refused to even turn it on when asked. Roaches everywhere . The bartender from Germany was the only good thing about this place . Avoid no matter how cheap it is . "

"We had a meal on the first night which was very good. Guinness pie with mash and an Angus burger. Food was served hot and was very tasty 😋 The room was clean and tidy with a big bathroom. One small issue was a loose toilet seat but it was sorted as soon as I reported it to reception. Overall a good 2 night stay. A cooked breakfast would have made the stay even better but there was a continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt etc."

"Easy to park. Nice room and bathroom. Steep narrow stairs to my very quaint room, which I didn't mind - though some might ask for a more accessible room off the lovely courtyard."
The National Trust-owned Chirk Castle is a 700-year-old jewel hidden in the heart of the Welsh countryside, dominating the horizon from its position at the meeting point of the rivers Dee and Ceiriog. Built by King Edward 1 and completed in 1310, it is the only Welsh castle built during this era still occupied today.
