It’s a relief to step out of the high-energy casino environment and into the calm, sophisticated lobby of The Pivot.As always my room was spacious and spotless. The bedding was high-quality, and I particularly appreciated the welcome gift that had been left in the room for us. The staff were attentive from check-in to departure. Being just a short walk across the bridge to Montecasino is a huge plus. It provides easy access to world-class dining, theaters, and entertainment without the noise of the casino floor reaching your room. Breakfast at Punchinello’s was a standout. The variety of the buffet was impressive, and the terrace seating is the best way to start a morning in South Africa. We unfortunately only had the one night and had to move to our next destination. For those looking for a great hotel , the Pivot offers a level of quiet luxury that is hard to beat in the area. I would definitely return."

"Hotel is in a good location. Pool was out of action for the 11 nights in which I stayed. Food menu was limited and average. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were large. The hotel is old and it shows. The hotel is good value for money. Shame about the pool being out of action. Wifi is good. "
