I would not recommend this hotel. It is far from anything and the staff are not friendly. The hotel is not worth the price.

Dissapointed

This was our second time visiting this location. We revisited, because we make frequent trips to and from the Quito airport. It is in a convenient location and it is a quiet and beautiful property. However the first visit we were treated as if it was appreciated that we were there. The food was amazing, and the service was personal and prompt. This time we booked our room online and booked the suite with the jacuzzi. However when we arrived, we were told the room was not available. We ordered some drinks to be brought to our room, and 45 minutes went by. When we went in search of someone, the owner apologized and said he forgot. When we went out to get some coffee at 7:45 am there was no one to be found, and with a free breakfast promised, no sign of anyone cooking. In fact in the community kitchen, there were dirty dishes piled in the sink from the night before, fruit flies flying all around, and no sign of any coffee. We foraged through cabinets, because it is a community kitchen and we made our own coffee. At 8:30am, as we were loading our things in the car, they asked us did we not want breakfast? By then it was too late because we had to go. The dinner that we had this time was terrible. There was so much grease congealed in it, that we were unable to even finish it. It's a shame, because the location is great and the premises is truly beautiful. We will not return.

Comfortable, relaxing, friendly, accommodating!

The owner, Patricio, and his son, Emilio, were very accommodating to us even with our delayed flight late arrival at midnight. They met us at the airport with smiles! Emilio prepared us a bowl of bananas upon arriving at the hotel as we were very hungry.

A very nice stay.

While this property is a little further away then some properties, the family provides all the services you need to make your stay very enjoyable including transportation. It is a very nice property with nicely groomed grounds to stroll in. My wife and I would certainly stay there again.

Good for a long layover

Hotel is good for a long layover in Quito. The place is cash only and $15 for the airport shuttle. The place is in an area of town that looks kind of scary but the hotel grounds are very pretty once inside its walls.

Pre-flight hotel

We arrived about 7 PM very tired from a 9 hour drive from Cuenca. Couldn't access our room immediately because they had to check to make sure it was ready. We had made the reservation in advance and they knew we were coming, so we expected that everything would be ready. But the room was adequate and very clean. At first we had no hot water and in the morning we told the owner. He said the gas must be low - why wasn't that checked before we arrived? The info on Hotels.com states there is a restaurant. Not exactly accurate. There is a kitchen and a dining room, no menu to choose from. The owner offered to make us something to eat, which he did. It was good but I would have like to have had a menu. The grounds are very beautiful and the area is restful. Pets are accepted and we had no problem with the cat being in our room. It is at least a 20 minute ride to the Quito airport, much longer than from Tababela where I usually stay. All in all it turned out fine but if you only need a room for a flight out of Quito airport, I would advise staying closer to the airport.

Friendly family who treat you like family!

Rooms are clean and basic. Setting is walled in location with beautiful gardens. Very quiet and safe. Husband and wife owners who are kind but respectful of your space. I arrived feeling sick from a flu and wife brought me home remedy tea. They drove us to the airport at 3:30 am. Price was comparable to taxi but much easier having them take us. Location seems far from new airport, but there really aren't many hotel options close to airport for a good price, so this one is really as close as anything if you want to pay less than $100 per night. Also a great place if you are with family and need a day of rest. There is a pool, volleyball ground, and cooking grill, along with hammocks surrounded by a beautiful landscaped garden and lawn area. Family will also cook you a home made dinner if you like. We arrived late and they made my family a tasty chicken and rice dinner. Breakfast is also good with fresh rolls, marmalade, eggs, papaya, juice, coffee/tea. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place about 15 minutes from the airport but feels like you are in the country run by a local friendly family.

Peaceful Retreat

We spent one night at Quinta Natura and had a magical time. This small, intimate hotel is tucked away in the town of Checa. The rooms are simple, but adequate and clean. The food was very good and the attention you receive is superb! Freddy and Katy, the owners, are amazing people! They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are taken care of. I woke up the next morning to the song of the birds and walked out of our room to see the gorgeous grounds. They are very well kept and complete with a beautiful view of the mountains. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, a place to connect with yourself and nature within a modest budget, this is the place! Quinta Natura also offers other services, they will pick you up and/or drop you off at the airport and take you on tours. We went on a tour to Otavalo with Katy and she used her skills and awesome camara to take pictures of us throughout the tour. She then sent me all 60+ pictures via Facebook. She also walked around the Otavalo market with us and helped us negotiate good prices. I cannot say enough good things about these kind people. They represent this wonderful country so well!

Good value and good service

August 10, 2016 I needed a place to sleep close to the airport for an early morning flight. The owner was helpful and let me keep a colleague's suitcase there since he left it before he went to Columbia. The room was suitable for me and a good value. They gave me a ride to the airport. I recommend this hotel.

Close to the airport and good staff

I have a very pleasing experience with the hotel. I booked it in the super last minute and I missed the email that offering airport pickup service. The hotel is up on the mountain so I took a taxi from the airport, which had no problem. This is a family-owned hotel and the environment is very peaceful, with dogs and gardens. They also offered a tour and the experience was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my two days there and I recommend this hotel.

Horrible! La dirección del GPS no estaba correcta, y buscamos largamente para encontrar el hotel, y nadie lo conocia. Hasta despues de preguntar a muchas personas lo encontramos. No habia rotulo, ni ninguna identificacion del hotel, y portones cerrados, y nadie contestaba. Era como las 8 PM. Cuando ya estabamos a punto de irnos, aparecieron los hijos en un carro.

Great hotel close to airport.

We used this hotel during our complicated family vacation to Ecuador. We chose the hotel because of it's reasonable price and closeness to the airport. We had part of our family fly in one day. They stayed the night and then left on a flight to the Amazon portion of Ecuador, leaving the bulk of their luggage behind. The rest of our family arrived two days later and spend some time looking around Quito. The rest of the family returned and we stayed the night before flying to another destination in Ecuador. The hotel staff was great to work with. We took advantage of the transportation to the airport which was reasonably priced. We also enjoyed eating at the hotel, which also was not very expensive. The hotel was clean and the grounds of the hotel were just beautiful.

Great hotel near airport.

We stayed at this hotel because of the reasonable price and closeness to the Quito Airport. The hotel management was great to work with. We had a unique schedule with parts of our family arriving and leaving at different times. We took advantage of the transportation offered to and from the airport, which is reasonably priced and cheaper than a taxi. We also took advantage of the dinner offered at the hotel and enjoyed eating there as a family. We were also able to get a tour of Quito for parts of our family and the tour guide was great to work with -- especially since one of our daughters had a touch of altitude sickness. We had plan to take a taxi into Quito and then take the tour bus around time, but the personalized tour offered by the hotel about the same price. We're so glad we took the personalized tour. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel were very beautiful and well cared for. We are currently in the middle of our visit to Ecuador and plan to stay at the hotel again just before leaving Ecuador.
