I almost didn’t book after reading some of the other reviews, but glad I did. This exceeded my expectations. It is weathered, but has character. Old, but clean. I felt very comfortable and safe. Easy walk to the beach. Everyone is super friendly. Great value for the price.

The place was well maintained for its age. Staff was friendly and house keeping did a good job. The surprising thing was the restaurant bar was an American Legion Post 15. Service was exceptional but they only take cash no credit cards. Dollars or pesos accepted.

I loved the front desk staff, my husband’s truck broke down and the guy at the front desk went above and beyond to help us, I forgot to ask his name but he worked the morning shift on 06/21/25 The lady who checked us in was very friendly too.

It was not terrible, Just some dumping from construction. We overall liked Hotel Baja and the staff was great and very responsive. The room was a little small, but it was clean and a great location. We enjoyed our stay.

Love this hotel close to the beach you can walk you can walk to Manny’s also down the street. There’s Lolitas where it’s a breakfast buffet love this hotel will recommend.

Have stayed at this hotel many time over the last 20 years. Always clean, beds are not very comfortable but manageable for a 2 night stay. Staff is always very friendly.

We have stayed at this hotel for the pass 5 years. We go down to rocky point for the motorcycle rally and it a no frills hotel but it has okay beds and a shower. You’re not in your room but to sleep and shower and this fits the bill. Also there’s an American legion there.

Great buy for the price, but you get what you pay for. In a descent spot in town, easy access to the major places in town.

Somewhat disappointed

1 the management and the staff was friendly, 2 had to pulled the shower head apart and clean all the rust out of it so it was spray, 3 trash all over the side of the hotel,4 there is no beach access,5 for the price paid did not equal the quality of the hotel itself, the pool had green water, and algae all over the side of the pool

We love the location and we booked just to sleep. The office staff was amazing, very good customer service when checking in and out. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the room. The sheets had a orange very noticeable stain that they tried to cover up with the decretive sheet on the edge of the bed. The pillows were also stained and visible dirty. The towels were also stained. They did service and “clean” the room but they used the same stained sheets. Like I said we only booked so we could sleep there so we spent very little time at the hotel. The curtains let A LOT of light in the room so sleeping in was not possible, but honestly, I would book again because the area is very convenient and the price is accessible.

They are hosting the mexican police there for months they have about 15 trucks parked and meetings blocking the parking lot. They start getting up at 5- 6am making alot of noise comings up and down the rooms like its a boot camp. Couldn't sleep at all.. hated it there will never go back.
They have between 15 of this parked all over the hotel during the evening

It could be a wonderful place. Needs work. Everything is old and wore. Beds hard, pillows super thin but clean. Bathroom towels were super worn. Pool nice but plaster missing but clean. Restaurant doesn’t open until 9 if even then. Dirt roads. Cools to beach.

The only negatives were that we couldn’t get a room on the second floor. My wife has mobility issues and they couldn’t accommodate our request so it was difficult for her to go up and down the stairs. Also our room did not have working lights in the room (ie table/pole lamp. We would still stay here again because of the atmosphere and staff.
