"Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended"

"Note that this is on the north side of the motorway so when heading south we had to do a detour. And when we got to the place we were told that breakfast was back on the north side. And when we left in the morning there was no one around to ask how to get there if we drove as we didn't have much time. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for one."

"Beautiful location but very tired. Great location just outside of Bath but the hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. Rooms are clean but dark wood furniture and bathroom facilities definitely need an update. Breakfast was average in a very old fashioned dining area and buffer layout was amateurish compared with modern hotels. That said, lovely location and great pub at the bottom of the driveway!"

"The castle was a true castle and maintained well. The staff is every area we’re kind and friendly. This is a very nice place to enjoy adult only accommodations and my wife and I would stay here again if ever in the area. Food was also top quality and served as if you were at a 5 star restaurant. "The food was really good, especially the breakfast but that was the only positive. The room that I was allocated ( room 6) looked good if dated, with lots of sockets but no USB charging points, it had a huge bed which was too soft for me but would suit others and that’s when it went down hill. There was a noise every 30 seconds or so like the room above me was flushing its toilets. I thought it would eventually stop but no. In the end I asked for a change of room and was asked if I had touched...
