3/5 - Okay
Generally I would avoid. Very busy (it was Christmas!!) and shops average. I would suggest access to Jenners/ and S etc from Rose street

The bars/pubs along Princes' Street were fantastic and a very easy walk from the apartment
Standard city-centre High Street shopping.
Princes Street is always busy so aim for first thing or last thing if you want to avoid the crowds. Or go straight for George Street where the shops are much nicer!
We visited the Christmas market - it was amazing and we would absolutely recommend it
