"I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. The doormen were always so helpful getting me in and out of the car, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was excellent, and the service there was consistently attentive and professional. I also have to give a special mention to the room service. It was spot on every single time — my orders were always accurate, delivered promptly, and the staff were so friendly, kind, and always arrived with a smile. That really stood out to me during my stay. The hotel and my room were very clean and beautifully maintained. I also had a gorgeous view of the beach, which made the stay feel even more special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept very well as far as the comfort of the room itself. The only downside was the outside noise. There was quite a bit of street noise, as well as noise coming from the military facility across the street. I realize this really isn’t the hotel’s fault and is simply part of the location, but it is something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The kindness and professionalism of the staff, the excellent service, the food, the cleanliness, the beautiful beach view, and the comfort of the room made my stay very enjoyable. I would absolutely stay at the Fairmont again."

"My stay at Hotel Arpoador was wonderful. The standard room is small, so beware if you need a lot of personal space or privacy. My priority is cleanliness and friendliness. I had no cleanliness concerns. I did not see one insect. I left a note on how I wanted my room cleaned (don't make my bed), and that was honored. Eli at the desk, Vitor at the beach, and the gentleman with locs at the front desk were very kind, cheerful, and helpful. The guy with the ponytail working on the roof on 9/27 for breakfast was very friendly and helpful also. This location was easy to uber everywhere and walkable to lot's of places in the area as well. No safety concerns. Hotel right on the beach and they provide chairs and umbrellas. Beware of beach vendors. Verify what you are paying as they tried to charge me thousands of dollars for a few drinks. Thankfully my bank declined it. This had nothing to do with the hotel though. I would 100% stay here again."

"Classic Room (1 Queen Bed) - 7/10. Good size. Clean. A/C looked new and worked well. Fridge though looked ancient, but did work. Horrible view from our 12th floor window. Bathroom - 8/10. Good size, nice shower, toiletries and towels etc. Bed - 9/10. Nice comfy bed. WiFi - 7/10. Not great. Kept dropping out, which is unhelpful when using an eSIM… The QR code info gave wrong details so had to ask at reception. Gym - N/A. Looked great but didn't use. Pool - 10/10. Small pool but great view of Copacabana beach and the pool area was nice with around a dozen beds/seats. Breakfast - 10/10. Good variety and very good quality. Staff - 10/10. All very good. Hotel - 9/10. Good but not great. Great location in between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Nice area. Would have been a 4* review but the great breakfast and staff made it a 5…"
