"My room was clean and spacious. The air conditioner kept the room warm and comfortable. The views and privacy were great and the receptionist was helpful and polite. I would recommend the Emerald Hotel as a great place to stay while visiting the Gisborne area."

"The furnishings are a little dated and the Shower over the Bath was tricky, however the rooms were spacious and with Heat Pumps in the Lounge & Bedroom we were very warm. Plus having a Washing Machine & Dryer was great."

"Nice Motel but a bit noisy from logging trucks from very early in the morning. Comfy bed and great TV. If you’re an early riser it’s a good place to stay."
