"Very clean rooms and friendly hosts. It was quite cool in the evenings with heating only on in the mornings and there was no communal lounge area to sit in so we felt we were confined to our bedroom. "

They reserve the tables for the local people. We were seated in the pub section close to the bar even though all other tables were empty. We arrived at 4pm, it was empty. We ended up between two wet and smelly dogs and getting poked by the gentleman standing at the bar behind us. The server was oblivious...

"The breakfast was good, but let down by being a little cold. The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. "

"A wonderful apartment in a wonderful location. Great for early morning walks to the beach, and if you want to explore, most things are a short driving distance for hikes and other breathtaking nearby beaches. If you plan on being in this part of Cornwall, you should definitely book this home. Geoff & Jan are wonderful hosts."

"The part of the hotel that we given was the old part which to be honest requires a complete refurbishment with a lift as we thought there was a lift but not on our side especially as we were on the 2nd floor and pensioners We were not told what time breakfast was or where to go for it also the shower in our room was intermittent so all in all not a great experience"

"If want to experience a stay in a unique local hotel, this is it. The building is Victorian, and the environment is comfortable but not trendy. Not everything matches or was updated in the same year, but that is what makes it feel more homey to me. They could probably do with some bathroom upgrades, but everything worked fine and truly that’s all you need. "Female staff were wonderful, breakfast was great, room clean and great location!"

"Overall our room is excellent with the harbor view from the room window. A minor point, the water vessel in the Nespresso Coffee machine was leaking. It will be nice for the staff to check before guests arrival, we didn't use it in the end but reported it. It is a shame but I can always get a good coffee from the cafe near by."

"Breakfast was basic but ok. The spray you're using to clean the bathrooms and wipe down the tables has an unpleasant smell. Room was clean but a bit tired- curtain rail damaged and repaired with a bulldog clip. The view was excellent. "

"Amazing stay"

"This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return."
