This motel is similar to the smaller independent European hotels in which that they still provide their guests with a key to access the rooms. The motel looks like they are still in the middle of renovations as a mobile aircon/fan have been provided in the rooms. Breakfast is not provided, but the motel is located in a town with a lot of different dining options. The rooms are decent enough for a short term stay.

The WiFi doesn’t work and only 1 of us (of 4) could shower before the hot water ran out…both are apparently known issues. Walls are thin and the road noise is loud. Of the 7 places we are staying for this trip, this was the most expensive so we expected a little more. That said, it was clean, close to shops and restaurants and easy to get into the NP. With a tankless water heater and a robust internet plan, we would have rated it higher.

This is a very old building so I was a bit worried about staying here at first. But when we arrived the outside looked well maintained. The lady who checked us in was nice and efficient. There was a fun ramp to wheel our bags up to the second floor. When we entered the room it was old but extremely clean and had a nice nostalgic feel to it. We did not hear noise from other rooms even though they were all full. I was able to walk down to the waterfront area and check out the restaurants and ferry parking. Would definitely stay here again.
