So nice to walk out the door and turn onto the Bay of Bengal with a very long and Promenade where no cars are allowed. Busy early morning as the 'walkers' are out. You might hear a flute talking to another flute somewhere else and the sound of the sea always.

One of the only hotels in white town on promenade beach having sea view from the side. Room 102 has best view, although i stayed in 101. There is a hotel called Ajantha Sea view in the same building which has fromt facing sea view. Cost is 5k per night for sea view rooms. Overall good experience.

Beach view with roaches

Good: great location with beach view from the balcony. Terrific south Indian breakfast ( idli dosa chutney sweets Sambhar chai). Friendly desk staff. Bad: mark ups and arbitrary prices, noisy guests, 2 hour wait for breakfast to be delivered ( no restaurant in hotel; room service only). Roaches. Room service dishes with leftover food not picked up for 36 hours ( which may explain the roaches)

Beach view from balcony was enjoyable moment. But hotel rooms are required to be renovated as maintenance of the building is not so well

False advertising

I paid extra for a "sea-view" room. The room description said "Balcony with beach views". When I entered the room it neither had a balcony nor a beach view. The person in charge came up with me to the room and agreed that it had no beach view - his excuse was that he had no more rooms. They refused to give me any money back. Wifi connection was sketchy at best. No hot water.
