Easy check in, clean room, clean linen, well-equipped kitchen, great location, most attractions within a short driving distance. Pet friendly, and our puppy loved it!

It was beautiful and quiet and even though I booked for the wrong 2 nights, I was able to be accommodated with no trouble. Lovely, cheerful hosts. Would recommend for proximity to places in Pokolbin like Hope Estate, wineries, markets.

Needs a little work
While the location and access to everything we needed was great and the surroundings and peace and quiet were what we were looking for, there were a couple of things that disappointed us.
a) BE AWARE The hot water has no (or a faulty) max temp setting so my son scalded himself in the shower. The water was so close to boiling I couldn't wash the dishes without a 50/50 cold water mix and is a serious safety risk.
b) The boards on the front step were loose and very difficult to walk on without tripping especially in thongs.
c) While a fry-pan was provided, we chose not to use it a second time as the non-stick coating was peeling and ended up in our food
d) the curtains do not cover the windows or keep any of the heat out. While I admit it was a very hot weekend when we stayed the air conditioner struggled to keep the property cool with the sun streaming into the rooms. We ended up hanging a blanket over the windows just to try and keep the heat out.
The variety of wildlife, the ability to roam around the property and a swimming pool did make it a fun place for the kids. A little maintenance could make it a great family location.
Loved the views and the cottage. Fairly private but close to lots of wineries and cafes and restaurants in Pokolbin. Barbeque and alfresco seating on the deck was great. The only downside was the bed was a little hard, and also there's a sign saying not to drink the water unless its been boiled which we didnt see until day 2. Overall a good stay though.
If you are looking to escape the hussle and bussle and noise of other guests, I can highly recommend Twin Trees Cottages. They are close to the wineries and restaurants but tucked away in a beautiful rural setting which is so quiet and peaceful. Not to mention the bird life and kangaroos make you feel you are a million miles away. So close to The Convent and Circa 1876 that we could walk for a beautiful meal, wine tasting and delicious coffee. This is now our second time staying at the cottages and definitely won't be our last.
The cottage was exactly what we needed for our time in the Hunter, and is fully equipped. The breakfast basket is a great addition. We inadvertently booked 2 nights and the manager and owner we unbelievably accommodating with our need to check out early. Too many hotels want to sting you for all they can get. This was customer service at it's best. Thanks again!
happy for everything, also, kangaroos surround the cottage every day, we could watch them when eating in the living room, children were so excited. we lived in No.3 cottage, choose this one if you are kangaroo lover.
The cottages are located in a quiet and peaceful area within close proximity to Cessnock. Having breakfast supplied for the first morning was appreciated. However, I feel cottages are overpriced, out-dated and more attention needed to be paid to the cleanliness. From the website description, I was expecting the cottage to be situated within a vineyard but this was not the case.
Was an absolutely amazing stay. Was so wonderful to wake up and see kangaroos and cows outside your window. Also very close to all the best wineries and Hope Estate which is where me and my friends were off to for a day music festival.
We went with our two months old bub for a long weekend and had a comfortable stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Cabin is well equipped and clean in a very secluded location. Will go again!
Twin trees was an amazing place to stay, the place is clean and spacious, the process of check in was very easy as management is very understanding!!! The place offers a lot more amenities than what you pay for!
