"We can highly recommend the Le Meridian hotel outside Split on the beach. Be aware that it is a good 20+ minute ride out of town. That being the case, don't get into a cab unless you negotiate in advance the price of the trip. We were conned into a cab ride from the marina and the driver tried to charge us 75 Euros to get to the hotel. "We loved our beach view room. Tony was very friendly and helped us with our bags. We found our room really warm and he even brought us a fan to help! The convenience of being right on the beach was for sure the highlight. Our kids enjoyed the water bouncy castle. Great location. Great stay!"
