"The bathroom waste can had trash in it. The room had to plug in kerosene heater. Listing says ceiling fan in every room but ours did not. Bed was very hard. Breakfast was OK, its free, but food in area cheap especially with exchange rate to US dollars. Older building in nice condition, just not sound proof. Overall for money not bad just letting you know what to expect."

"This is a good, solid, clean, well-run hotel at the level of 3 or 4 stars. It presents itself as a FIVE-star hotel, however, and that is "false advertising." It lacks air conditioning, for instance, and thus exposes guests to the heat that the intense high-altitude sun produces in North-facing rooms. Moreover, it clearly shows its age; no signs of recent upgrades. Thus, it is clearly not a top, luxury hotel & does not deserve 5 stars. 3 or maybe 4 stars -- that is its level."

"If you are looking for an amazing location near downtown La Paz, the Illampu Art Boutique Hotel is a great choice. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful breakfast with fantastic views of the city. The staff was incredibly helpful. Jimena helped us with everything from taxis to tours to finding places to eat. We felt extremely welcomed at this hotel and would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel Sagarnaga is in an excellent location right in the middle of all the action on Calle Sagarnaga. Our stay was smooth overall, featuring an easy check-in and check-out, reliable luggage storage, and a decent breakfast spread to start the day. "Nice boutique hotel, room, bathroom good size and modern. Housekeeping diligent with keeping room clean. Hotel is about 1.5 kilometres and up hill from main areas, so if you have mobility issues you may have to catch cab/uber back to hotel."

"We had a very pleasant stay at Las Brisas Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Despite being located in one of the liveliest areas of La Paz, it was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to sleep well. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. Compared to other 3-star hotels we stayed at during our trip, it was definitely one of the best. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting La Paz."

"It was such an inexpensive place that it is really impossible to give anything but high marks. We only stayed a few hours before leaving after mid night to catch our flight. I can not give 5 stars because of the horrible check in system. My husband, myself, our driver stood in front of the building with no idea which gate we are supposed to go in. We kept ringing the bell next to the gate. After a few minutes we saw that the gate was unlocked. So, we went inside the yard. There are two doors....
