"Once inside this apartment you will enjoy the space and fabulous views out to sea. What the pictures don’t show is the entrance to the property which is up two levels in a service yard full of air conditioning units and ventilation systems from the ground floor restaurants. Directions to the property were also pretty poor. "

Downside: buildings probably date back to the eighties or thereabouts so looking very tired and in places quite shabby; room furnishment minimal and very dated; matter of luck whether the TV has any non-Greek language programs; WiFi signal spotty and weak; it’s a busy location so expect the accompanying din of traffic and people; guest laundry area would benefit from upgrade or deep clean. Overall, the outcome is satisfactory. "

"Modern feel to rooms, majority of which have a sea view from what I could see. Pool and grass areas leading to the promenade and the beach is fantastic, lots of free loungers. Approximately a 20 min stroll to the harbour area where there’s bars and restaurants. Airport shuttle needs to be booked 48 hours in advance, the form for this is on their website before arrival, fill out a paper form from reception for your return. "The breakfast was very varied and each dish was flavourful. Each evening we entered our room, it was freshly cleaned with some complimentary chocolates. Also, the beach view was completely unobstructed and the staff were quite friendly and welcoming."

"Rooms were clean and spacious. Showers were nice and hot. Hot tub and gym facilities were nice. Staff was super helpful. Swimming pool was cold but clean. Would’ve been great if the pool was heated. "

"The almyra is beautiful. The location is outstanding the staff are delightful and helpful and the breakfast is plentiful and varied. The choice of pools means if you’re travelling without kids you have a quiet pool and each one is attended to. I chose the hotel using only reviews as this was my first trip to Cyprus. I would most definitely return to the almyra and highly recommend it."

"La chambre est propre mais ne dispose pas de frigo, pas de bouilloire ni même de verres/tasses. Pas moyen de se faire un thé ou un café dans la chambre. Le petit-déjeuner mérite un zéro pointé : café dégueulasse, viennoiseries industrielles, confitures en barquette, très peu de choix. Le personnel ne parle pas grec, il faut communiquer avec eux dans la langue de Trump. Point positif : l'hôtel dispose d'un stationnement et se situe à proximité du front de mer."

"There are essentially two very different hotels linked in the same large complex marketed with different names. This part was quiet, with a lovely large pool, a nice clean apartment in small white washed blocks with comfortable beds and terrace. The staff was particularly helpful and Vasilis in particular was excellent. If you want you can also access the holiday ‘fishing’ village part adjacent with its large lagoon pool and water park for kids - which is marketed as a different hotel and...
