Very basic hotel. Rooms are clean and the women who ran the front desk was lovely. Nothing fancy but you cannot beat the location. Get a room facing the water. The view, especially in the morning is breathtaking.

Good clean and spacious room with the most amazing views of the harbour. Bed was king size made up of two singles put together which is common practice needed thicker padding underneath as could feel the join and other aspects like heated sheet element. Overall facilities good and location makes up for any minor issues.

There is no AC so you have to leave the windows open to cool the room and it can be noisy outside due to the main road. The surf and turf offered at restaurant is fantastic! Perhaps the best meal I’ve had in NZ.
