"We were travelling across Europe for 2 weeks and this was our fav hotel. From the time we got there, Frederica was warm and helpful. She offered to keep our bags, recommended local attractions and anytime we had a question, she answered with a big smile and care. The hotel itself is located really well. The rooms are a good size and the washrooms are so clean and have actual room (not always the case for hotels that are right in the heart of the city) Its within 5-15 min walk of all major attractions and so we could easily drop bags of shopping back and even come back to take a nap in the afternoon. Its quaint, clean and a real bang for your buck. High recommend and I will be back :)"

"Really liked the the social hub! Pool was cool, and an excellent refresh after a long day in the hot sun. The free laundry (with an app) was incredibly helpful and appreciated after traveling across Italy. Beds were comfy, and AC was enough to keep as cool. Asked for extra towels one day and had them delivered to the room within 5 minutes. Would stay again!"

The property is beautifully maintained, blending historic charm with modern comfort, and the atmosphere is consistently peaceful and welcoming. What truly sets Orto di Medici apart is the staff — warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every stay exceptional. They remember returning guests, greet you with kindness, and always go above and beyond with thoughtful service. After so many years, I can say with confidence that this hotel remains one of Florence’s true gems."

"Great location. You can really walk to anything you want to see in Florence. It's also only about a 5 minute walk to the train station. The hotel itself is truly historic with a nice entry and stairwell, but I found the room very plain and in need of updates."
