I stayed here during my time on the island last week.
I arrived to the address listed at a round 9pm after my flight, I didn’t utilize the airport shuttle service and upon my arrival, nobody was there for checkin. My mistake as I thought I only had to reach out in advance if I required the shuttle service as it says check in is available until midnight. This quickly got resolved and the manager sent someone to let us in. When the employee arrived, he took us to a different homestay location. This seemed strange but the employee was kind and helpful.
This second location that we were taken to was above a convenience store so we could only access the room during the stores open hours. The room had green and black mold all over one wall and the ceiling. The room itself smelled horrible from the mold. The employee working the convenience store (who seemed to also work for the homestay) was helpful and gave us a different room for 1 night and stated our original room would be cleaned for us to move back in tomorrow.
The next room was better, though still smelled of mold. The bed was really bad, you could feel the springs very noticeably. Between the uncomfortable bed, the moisture in the room, the smell of mold and this persistent loud clicking noise- it made for a terrible night.
The next day, they wanted us to move back to the original room after painting the walls and ceiling. The room now smelled of paint and mold. We did not stay for the second night of our booking.
