"I would give this hotel a higher rating if I could. The place was clean, the staff was amazing, and having access to free washer/dryer was super helpful. They charge a deposit on check-in, and $20 if you have an overnight guest. They were very up front about this. No issues, quiet, I paid $5/day for the all you can eat breakfast which was very good. This hotel shares an alley with the Ministry of Defense, so don’t be surprised when you see soldiers all over the place with AKM rifles."

I hate to write glowing reviews as I would like to keep this hidden gem to fewer travelers but it really is a great oasis in the middle of the city. Whether you’re wanting a break from the business of Phnom Penh, or visiting the city from overseas, Plantation offers a pretty authentic Khmer brand of hospitality. The staff is friendly rly but not overly solicitous, the food is superb, the rooms are well kept and the grounds provide a refreshing surrounding."
