"The hotel is situated within a short walking distance of a vibrant commercial area, replete with various businesses, and is a 15 minute walk to downtown. Ash & 9th is a former Days Inn comprised of outdoor walkway. There are no balconies as depicted in advertising pictures. However, to its credit, the room was comfortable and has been renovated with new motion-activated lighting, bath fixtures, and appliances. A drawback was the necessity to have to unplug either microwave or coffee maker in order to use the preferred appliance. I found staff to be accommodating and guest-focused. Office closes at 11p.m."

"Customer service was amazing, very accommodating and kind. Got upgraded to a room with a balcony and view, for free, and got late check out without even asking. The staff was able to put 7 families on the same floor near each other. A fun, clean, large hotel. Only bummer was the pool bar & food didn’t open til noon."

"This place was FUN! It was clean and comfortable and the staff was terrific...very helpful. And the decorations were perfect. We didn't use the pool this time but the area looked inviting. It's also walking distance to Petco Stadium and many eateries, although we ate at the hotel restaurant twice and enjoyed it. "

"So close to Petco Park and a short trip from the airport. A little expensive but all the hotels around this area run similar. Very nice buffet breakfast. The restaurant at the hotel was good. Our room had a refrigerator, micowave, a small stovetop, glass cups, plates, silverware and pans. People mentioned the sink not in the bathroom but in the room. It did not bother us. No security box in the closet which I missed. "
