Puedo con toda certeza, afirmar que este ha sido me mejor estadia en un hotel. Me trataron como si fuera un miembro mas de su familia. Que atención tan especial. No había llegado y estaban pendientes de mi viaje incluso de regreso. Las fotos que han publicado se quedan cortos para el paisaje y vista nocturna y al amanecer. Se los recomiendo 100 %. El ingreso a la finca es destapado un trayecto corto pero carreteable para cualquier vehículo.

Nice Finca with stunning view

We had a great time at Finca Ilusion where we stayed 3 nights. The view from the balcony is stunning, overseeing Pereira and the location high on the hill is nice. Federico the owner was in Germany during our stay but arranged all our trips perfectly via WhatsApp (coffee Finca tour, Willy tour, visit Termales San Vincente, and trip to Salento-Cocora-Filandia). Our host Ovidio was helpful as well. So we can recommend Villa Ilusion if you want to stay at a quite place in Pereira. Please not that your or need your own car or are fine to use taxis (they have their recommended driver Carlos, safe driver and kind guy) since nothing is walking distance.

The view was beautifully. Road to get to the place real bad. Need to tell guest to make sure get an suv to get to the place. Excellent service from the staff. Always available to help us in anything. Need to update the place a little bit.

Beautiful View, Nice People. Just a Couple Issues

My husband and I stayed 4 nights while visiting the coffee region. Recommend you have a car/rental car. It is located in the hills outside of Pereira. If you want to do day trips to Filandia, Santa Rose hot springs, Salento, etc, you are going to spend time and a fortune on taxis to the bus station. The owner does offer a driver/tour service. But we just found it was more convenient to pick up a car at the Pereira airport. The road up to the Finca is a dirt track. We held our breath every time we went over a large rock or hole, wondering when we would hit bottom. It is about 2.5 km on the narrow dirt road. We always tried to be back before dark. The owner and the caretaker are exceptionally friendly and service oriented. For breakfast we had this great arequipa. The owner picked up two bottles and gave them to us as a gift. How nice is that. The birds around the property are amazing. My issue was with the bugs. I asked the caretaker to spray the room, which he did not do. So, I purchased spray. I also just took the broom one morning and swept the walls and ceilings to get the bugs accumulated there. I opened the curtains and there were dead bugs all over the window seals. I understand it is the tropics, but bugs inside rooms can be controlled with cleaning and spray. The water from the tap is not potable. We drank the 4 bottles that were in the fridge, and at check-out learned we would be charged for these. Should provide drinking water.

It’s a gem in Pereira

Great team, charming house with Stunning view

We really enjoyed our stay. Frederico from the owner family offered us a private driving service and showed us the area around Pereira and there was lots to see, The location is wonderfull far outside in the hills. Our house war build with the local bamboo. From the balcony as well from from our breakfast table we had great views over Pereira and the wonderful nature and bird life there. Breakfast was great with fresk fruit, sweet bread, eggs and good coffee. After a long walking tour in the val de cocora we enjoyed the jaccuzzi and a drink from the nice bar room. A great cosy place with very nice people.

Nettes Guesthouse, aber kein Hotel!

Der Name ist Programm - "Villa IIusion" ist ein sehr nettes Guesthouse mit durchaus bemühten Besitzern und einem atemberaubenden Blick auf (das ansonsten uninteressante) Pereira, aber nicht wie in der Beschreibung suggeriert ein "Hotel". Zwar gibt es eine "Poolbar", allerdings war sie nicht geöffnet. Ein Restaurant gibt es auch nicht; vielmehr kann man sich auf einer Speisekarte etwas aussuchen, das dann ein Lieferdienst bringt (riesige Portionen, geschmacklich eher im Mittelfeld...). Gelegen ist das Anwesen sehr abseits, man orientiert sich am besten an der Tankstelle, die an der in der Beschreibung/Website angegebenen Stelle liegt und fährt den fast direkt gegenüber der Tankstelle liegenden Weg auf den Hügel hoch. Für eine Nacht ok, aber wir wollten nicht gerne länger geblieben sein, zumal in der Gegend nur wenig anzufangen ist, und man dann direkt in der Kaffeezone weit besser aufgehoben ist.

Peaceful hotel with spectacular views

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. The hotel is an old coffee plantation, nestled in the hills over Pereira. The gardens are full of beautiful plants and there are lots of colourful birds and butterflies around. The views of Pereira and surrounding areas are spectacular, day and night. There is a wonderful infinity pool that allows you to enjoy the views while swimming. Rooms are fairly basic, but are roomy and have a fridge and large bathroom. Colombian breakfast is included every morning, and consists of fruit, coffee, arepas and cheese. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. There is no lunch or evening meal, but the staff brought in meals from a nearby restaurant for us to eat on the patio. There is not much to do during the day, other than swim, but it is an extremely relaxing place to stay. There is no point in going for a hike as the only path leads down a steep hill to a fairly rough looking barrio. It is a good base for visiting the coffee country around Pereira, or somewhere to relax away from the busy city area.
