"We loved our stay at the Ornament Hotel in Sarajevo. The hotel is small, but it was perfectly fine for two nights in the city. It has a great location and it is an easy walk to wherever you would want to go. The room was small, but had a balcony looking over the Latin Bridge and the river. The hotel has two parking spots (first come, first serve) and we were lucky enough to get one. Otherwise, there is public parking a short walk away We were doing a 10 country drive and stayed in a mix of luxury properties and modest hotels. The Ornament exceeding what you would expect for a modest property. The front desk staff was great and the hotel was spotless "

"Good location (easy to walk to main attractions), quiet, clean, spacious, decent breakfast and appreciated the fridge/cooking facilities in the room. Airport shuttle service was reliable and communication with the hotel was good."

"I can't say enough good things about this hotel! It's right in the middle of Sarajevo's historic old town, but tucked away enough that traffic noise isn't too much of a problem. When I walked in I told the lady at the desk, "I think I'm in the right place" and she said, "Yes you are, Erik." She already knew who I was. I asked about a cab to the airport for an early morning flight and she set up a ride with a member of the hotel's staff that was cheaper than a cab. (And she shared a bag of popcorn with me!) On the morning when I checked out, the hotel's internet was having problems and the worker couldn't run my credit card. So he took my information and turned on the coffee machine (four hours before they serve breakfast) so I could have a cappuccino while I waited for my ride to the airport. Amazing service! It's a boutique hotel with really nice, clean rooms. Mine had two skylights that could be shuttered remotely. The included breakfast was wonderful. You can walk from the hotel to all of the historic churches, mosques and museums. I recommend the cable car lifts up the mountain for incredible views. (Look for the abandoned bobsled tracks from the 1984 Winter Olympics.) When I think of Sarajevo, I only think about the wars in the 1990s but this city is so much more. The only possible negative is that the road outside the hotel is extremely busy and has very narrow sidewalks. And the motorists speed by. So be careful crossing the street."
