"We LOVE this place. The staff are all amazing, every one. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The views are breathtaking. The breakfast is the same every day though they do change the fruit, but it doesn’t matter because there is enough choice. Breakfast is with a beautiful view. We sacrificed a pool for 7 nights for this hotel (with two young kids!) and ended up staying an extra night because it’s awesome. We did day passes at other local hotels to use their pools and went to the beach. Perfectly in the middle of Quepos and MA so was great to go to either place. I’m happy we weren’t at one end. I only put a lost star due to the hanging bridges, I feel they could be safer. Our 4 year old was fine directly with us but we always had to hold the baby. We only did two morning tours, but both awesome. Monkeys visited for breakfast one morning, toucans several mornings in the trees. Sloths on the free tours. Iguanas. The staff are always attentive and also drive you in the golf cart if you need a ride one way up or down the hill. "

"I booked a basic single but was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Double. The room was spacious, spotless, and had a balcony overlooking the yoga deck and walking trail (currently closed). Even though it was right in the center of the property, it still felt private and relaxing. The location of the room was excellent — less than a minute to the yoga deck, pools, and restaurant. It was so convenient that I could leave my things by the pool and quickly return to my room to shower, grab something, or get ready for the next activity. The hotel itself is also in a great area: about a 15-minute walk to the beach, 1 minute to the bus stop, and just a few minutes to several great restaurants. Staff were one of the highlights. Everyone was kind and helpful, with Henry and Matthew at reception standing out for their friendliness and knowledge of tours and activities. They even arranged for security to turn on the lights at the yoga deck so I could have a small incense ceremony — a thoughtful touch that made my stay memorable. During the early wet season the property was quiet, though I imagine peak season could be livelier given the central location. Fortunately, the rooms are well insulated, so noise would likely be tolerable. The only thing I missed was having a fridge for medicine or leftovers. Overall, a wonderful stay — comfortable room, perfect location, and truly exceptional staff. Highly recommend Alma Vida for a memorable stay in Manuel Antonio."

"We purchased a day pass to enjoy the beautiful hot springs at Rio Perlas Thermal Resort & Spa, and it was absolutely worth it! The pools were relaxing and well-maintained, and we also went on a scenic hike that made the experience even more special. One of the highlights was visiting the farm and getting to pet the animals—it added such a fun, unique touch. We had an amazing time overall and definitely plan to return when we’re back in Costa Rica!"
